If this was simply a footballing decision then it would be crazy to get rid of Rakitic at all, let alone as part of this deal. However, this is clearly more of a commercial decision than a footballing one. Neymar will sell merchandise.
 
I’m struggling to think of anything he has done , totally overrated and has done next to nothing in 2 world cups apart from fall on his arse a lot
Goes to show how far Brazil have fallen as he wouldn’t get into the squads of 82, 86, 90 , 94, 98,02

Agree about Neymar being better than Hasard but Umiti and Rakitic are excellent and will need replacing and it will cost a fortune to do it.

Umtiti was injured almost all season because he ignored the club’s medical advice and listened to his personal trainer’s. He came back at the end and looked so slow.

Rakitic had a pretty awful season as well but was over played.

Dembele has been wank but rakitic and umtiti have been tremendous for barca .
