Next Years Seating Plan

Personally i think this will be a 'good' idea in the long run but not a 'fantastic' one. Truth is we won't all of a sudden get 45k home fans every week and any other move the club made would have positives and negatives. The two big positives for me is the increased amount of concessions in a good view behind the goal, and if we fill the current away fan part with ST holders we will have about 3000 singing all game aswell as the sw corner. So probably 5-6000 singing non stop (hopefully).

Slightly wrong. Its a good idea in the short term and a fantastic idea in the long term.

With no away fans near the pitch theres no chance of em getting on the pitch which means no reason for our idiots to run on with them or run on to goad them IE recent mag matches.

Also theres no chance of the new "singing end" being anywhere near the away fans (mags in particular) which hopefully, in the future, possibly, may allow for ULTRA style flags with flagpoles to be brought into the ground (possibly left there permanently, with only their designated owners allowed to have em). Flag poles have been banned for years to prevent em being used as spears, this could be the first step back to creating a decent atmosphere.

Who knows maybe a few years down the line if all goes well and theres no pitch invasions, missiles etc we may see safe standing in the South Stand (Villa are asking about it atm). Anyone who stood at Roker as a kid must surely want the generations since who follow SAFC to have the same experience?

Every journey begins with one small step, mebbes ES, NQ & MB have been (unwittingly?) buying SAFC a satnav?

Dont fuck it up you lot.

There'll be plenty of it. The family zone is in the se corner not the south stand. There are plenty of 'family' areas in the ground already and it doesn't stop swearing. Personally i thought the club would move them to the sw corner, because it's behind the main camera viewpoint and it would make all the lads from the sw corner move to fill the south stand, while other lads became St holder's where the current matchday sales are.

Most of the SWC lot will shift to the NWU next season to be near the away fans. That's why they're in the SWC in the first place. Most of the North Stand fans will shift over to the South Stand so in effect all they are doing is shifting 1,500 or so home fans from the lower bowl of the stadium to the upper, as well as the away fans, and shifting a fair few of those in the North to behind the other goal meaning less fans in the lower parts of the stadium next season and loads of empty seats behind both goals. The stadium will look very empty.

I chose my seat on what was dubbed at the time the new Fulwell mate.

Just like where my Dad and and his Dad stood.

Now margaret byrne is kicking me out to put away fans in there?

fair enough. i went there when the sol first opened, presumin it would be singers place. when it bacame shite i moved because i want to stil be where the singing is.

thought youd want to be where makes a nosie.

are you actually just kickin up a fuss because you have to move seats?

utter shite

So many folk want this to fail it's f***ing laughable. I don't class these morons as Sunderland supporters to be honest.

Clubs up and down the land have stands with home fans above away fans and vice versa. I was sat below West Ham fans last year and aside from the odd 2 finger salute there was no bother. I've sat below Wolves fans and likewise, never had any bother. Yet this is going to be a problem at SAFC? Why? Ah, yes, that's right, just another excuse to claim the whole idea is stupid. Braindead bellends.

Someones just told me the move has more to do with moving the Black Cars bar down stairs. Better for hospitality for concerts etc. Obviously that and the TV image for highlights. Fuck the Season Ticket Holders/

But hey say 'the fans' wanted it. Some daft fuckers will even agree...

Funny how this move was rushed in straight after the appointing a young, very inexperienced, possibly even token CEO....

Wake up smell the coffee

MARGARET BYRNE OUT

The fans DID want it. Just because you aren't keeping your f***ing seat that you don't f***ing own, doesn't mean every fucker else is unhappy.

All of them? Clearly he didn't.

NO theres a group of us in touch who are against the move and many of us would offer to give up our seats in the North Stand/Black Cats for a season to help make the South Stand work if the club changed the plan.

We would always put whats best for the club first.

Whats embarassing is the fuckers going along with it without question. Or the ones who've been conned into defending it when something could be done.

Suprisingly I'm not happy about losing the seat I've had since the ground opened. I've not missed a single f***ing match in that stadium and this is my reward?

And for what?

For a half baked plan of some stupid bitch who's only been in the job 5 minutes? Who has the cheek to say the fans demanded it?

If the club had put the away fans in the NW upper as others on here suggested at least no season ticket holders would be unhappy so why do this?????

FFS
Season ticket holder in the Nw upper would be affected, I can see why the club are doing it and back it.

It's a f***ing seat at the end of the day, you get priority of the other seats. Seems you are either a tit or hate Margaret Byrne, I doubt she was the only one involved.

This has been mooted for a few year, not just since she was CEO you thick bastard.

No what the fans wanted was the south stand for home fans.

THAT IS ALL

Who you calling a thick bastard u C~NT?

Fuck off!

And by the way there are no season ticket holders in the NW upper YOU THICK BASTARD

Aye there is, Hawes mackem off here sits in the NWC iirc, so get stuff right before spouting bollocks.

You have made a big who har of MARGARET BYRNE OUT, on nearly every post in this thread. The club have wanted to do this long before she was here.

It's a f***ing seat FFS, how much inconvenience can it cause you? Move further down the f***ing north stand then, Jesus Christ.

im 100% behind the idea but I think there is going to lots of fans who want to be in the concession area who cant get there tickets there IMO they should make the whole stand the singing section and put the family area in the swc

Still say they should of moved the away fans to the SEC. I know other teams away support has never been up to much at The Stadium, but you'll lose the rival/dual chanting once they're in The North Stand Upper.

Fuck off, I sit there :-D and it is the next loudest to the SWC, much louder than the morgue (NS) ;)

So it's going to cost full whack to be a target for missiles and cups of piss. They should have had both ends behind the goal priced the same.

So the North Stand will be empty next season instead of the South.

Missiles and piss won't happen man.

I agree with you.

The club appear to be going through a great deal of effort and upheaval to effectively "swop" the ends around.

Surely it would have been better to make the entire North stand, including the upper tier, into a cheap ticket zone. A huge bank of red and white would look very impressive on tv and would concerntrate the home noise.

The current proposal to move the away fans to the upper tier will do nothing to help the atmosphere and will only make the crowd look more spartan than it does now. Barmy.

The north stand now is normally pretty full bar a few front rows and it's shit. The club obviously want the south as the new home end.
