They need to make the north and south stands the same price. I'm not going to sit in the north again next year, pay more and have na fucker sat next to me cos there all at the other end of the ground paying less and it being better.

And having shit thrown down at you when we play The Mags, both Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Everton, Spurs and the like.

They may as well close the North Stand for home fans next season.

Yet another excuse for you not to go then. Not that you need anymore.

It's only one of the reasons i've decided not to renew in the summer.

The fact that it works out cheaper to go match by match, taking into account all of the offers they do is my main reason.

My mate Ian brown is not happy he's being moved from the black cats bar.he reckons he'll get bottles of p@ss chucked off his head.

Anybody who expected a standing area bouncing up and down with flares etc are thick, the club have done a decent job and got quite close to the maximum they could possibly do.

Well said marra. Whats more there are some even thicker SAFC fans on this thread, hard to believe though it may be.
Their the idiots who think the away fans will be hanging ower the edge of the NS Upper gobbing and pissing on the NS Lower. The new away fans will be allowed nowhere near the seats in front of the walkway. Those seats will be netted and have stewards and NPs finest keeping an eye on the away lot. I bet theres even a SKY TV camera position built there anarl.
The away fans will be positioned as far away from the home fans as possible, mebbes not jammed into the corner but theyll be far enuff ower to allow home fans to be sold tkts in the NWC for the big games: Mags, Utd, Barca, Bayern, Real, Inter etc etc.

Spot on, I've been at away grounds above home supporters and even below them. Hardly any trouble. I've never even seen trouble over the edge at SJP, so many people want this to fail it's embarrassing.

Personally i think this will be a 'good' idea in the long run but not a 'fantastic' one. Truth is we won't all of a sudden get 45k home fans every week and any other move the club made would have positives and negatives. The two big positives for me is the increased amount of concessions in a good view behind the goal, and if we fill the current away fan part with ST holders we will have about 3000 singing all game aswell as the sw corner. So probably 5-6000 singing non stop (hopefully).

Their Sunderland supporters man waddya expect, years of conditioning has made us like that.
Terry Collier once said summit along the lines of: "Her father was a Methodist Lay Preacher and her mother was a Sunderland supporter, there was never much joy in that household".

Won't happen. Loads of non singers from the North Stand will move to the South to save money for the same view and there's no way an extra 3000 "singers" are just going to suddenly appear. With the away fans being moved out of the lower bowl the atmosphere will be worse than its ever been.

Still say they should of moved the away fans to the SEC. I know other teams away support has never been up to much at The Stadium, but you'll lose the rival/dual chanting once they're in The North Stand Upper.

What a negative whingy bastard. Why would a bunch of blokes, mainly old, from the north stand change the seat they've had for years to save £40 at the most over a season? especially when they know a load of younguns like me will be moving there purely for a better atmosphere. There'll be singing all game and lots of swearing, aswell as standing. So i can't see people moving to save a relatively small amount of coin.

This to me was the obvious choice

No swearing you'll be next to the kids section.... ;)

Would have been better sticking the away fans in the SWC or something.

Half the reason any of the lot currently in the SWC is due to whatever shit is coming from the away fans. Moving them will either kill it completely, or be a resounding success.

.

if they do i hope they are right in amongst loonies standing and singing all game. theyd soon regret picking the one place advertised as a singing end

nee bother when are above the mags. nee bother at other grounds where aways are in the upper.

Which will result in fans fighting amongst themselves. :-(

There'll be plenty of it. The family zone is in the se corner not the south stand. There are plenty of 'family' areas in the ground already and it doesn't stop swearing. Personally i thought the club would move them to the sw corner, because it's behind the main camera viewpoint and it would make all the lads from the sw corner move to fill the south stand, while other lads became St holder's where the current matchday sales are.

no, it will result in a few thick heads realising they shouldnt have been cock ends and pick the one place they shouldnt. then they will either have to move or put up with it.

surely youd want to move from the morgue stand to the south stand?

I chose my seat on what was dubbed at the time the new Fulwell mate.

Just like where my Dad and and his Dad stood.

Now margaret byrne is kicking me out to put away fans in there?
