I tend to agree that reducing prices to get more people in is a sensible model. It raises goodwill and enthusiasm for the club, will potentially introduce youngsters who may become life long fans, and more simply it creates increased match day revenue in terms of catering sales, merchandise etc.
I am not sure how many more people would actually come with reduced prices. Not that many more I suspect. In addition, it's a model that can not work in reality once you've sold your season tickets as there would rightly be uproar if the cost of those tickets works out more than buying match day tickets!
One thing is certain there are going to be a hell of a lot of empty seats for games this season especially if we don't start well. The league is a poor one and there are a lot of ordinary fixtures for people to endure!
