I'm all for encouraging the next generation through the schools promotions etc., but this plethora of freebies being doled out by the club has, as others have said on here, 'cheapened' (no pun intended) the whole experience and it's a slap in the face for season ticket holders.

Quite frankly, the gate receipts relevant to the crowd sizes just doesn't add up. There is a rabbit off somewhere.

I'm not saying the club should charge through the nose; clearly that is not sustainable. Our prices aren't much more than they were 15 years ago, and I think there is scope to increase them a bit (but keep the family deals cheap).

.....surely everyone must agree that this a brilliant idea? What could be better next season than a full sol for most games with a cracking atmosphere to spur the lads on. Whats more the club will make an absolute bomb from catering/drinks/merchandise. Its been years since the sol has been filled on a regular basis and I for one long for those days when we could welcome teams to the sol and hear the raw as the team came out to that ready to gan song !!! Great idea when we're just about to lose £100m of Premier League money and gate receipts become more important than ever.

PS. Fuck off you stinking black and white bastard.

So listen guys, here's the thing...just look at how many games have been gobbled already for live transmission by broadcasters. We simply have to think outside the box (as well as in if we want to score goals especially) and we have to evolve in as many positive directions as its possible to do so in order to get out of this god forsaken league ...filling the ground will help IMO

Christ all mighty

£5 per entry x 40,000 = £200,000

£25 per entry x 25,000 = £625,000

Sounds like a financially sound idea

Glad you not in charge of the club ! Ffs they have kept prices at a level for a while . Mate supports Barnsley and when they were in league 1 he was paying 28 quid for normal home end ticket yet we should charge a fiver for what ? So a few people who would not bother might attend a game . Those that want to go will go at the current prices

Free Ticket Mags
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the facts are clearly visible in the audited accounts filed at Companies House. In the latest year filed (2016) Sunderland's average crowd is only about 6.5k lower than Newcastle's, but your gate receipts were a pitiful 10.4m versus 24.7m at the toon. Now do you want to have an educated guess as to who is giving away all the free tickets?:oops::oops:

Subtle and nuanced satire, as only a mag could create. Take a bow...

Sounds a great idea to me, but as a season ticket holder I've already paid 2 instalments. If someone could yet the club know I'm all paid up now and I'm expecting a refund of about £70. Cheers.

CORBYNISTA!

Ground will be full of copy tracksuit scratters and falsetto feck wits.
Great stride forward for a club currently in the doldrums thanks to moyes.

You do as well. Our season tickets are all significantly cheaper than yours and we have concessions in all parts of the ground.
