So if he has to go cap in hand to the bank, that effectively puts them in charge?

Surely relegation means a reduction in turn over though?

Yes, probably by a comparatively small amount of money though, say 2-3M. IF and it's a big if the relegation clause still applies on players wages then the wage bill will go down by around £20M. I have asked the club employee if the relegation clause applies to any relegation but he chose not to answer the question.

I think everyone of us knows that it's not pretty. However I think there's a possibility that the club is even more fucked than we actually think.

Totally.

Can you see the owner paying for him to walk...... ?

I can't see Grayson continuing either way. Tuesday seems to be make or break but considering he should have been given the boot after the Sheff Utd game, why wait? Even if we miraculously beat Bolton, why allow him to continue? He should have walked by now imo, accepting that his methods weren't working. He ran out of ideas a long time ago, he argued that it was unfair as many of his players were unavailable, wll now they are and nothing's changed.

Why's Mcmanaman not getting much of a look in after a solid start? He has to rely on sub appearances.

Once it gets to the point whereby it's a case of saying "lose this game and you're sacked" then you're just postponing the inevitable. What if he wins the next one but loses the next 3? It's ridiculous.

I have to agree, it's passed the point of no return really. He'd have to go on a spell of winning 5 or 6 games, playing entertaining football to make fans reconsider their opinion of him now. As I've said a number of times, he should have gone after the Sheff United game, Short is well and truly taking the piss out of us now and has done for some time.

It's not very often a manager is sacked after a win, is it?

I'm sure it's probably happened but that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that if the decision rests on a single game then you may as well just pull the trigger as pretty much any/all faith in the manager has been lost and its just a matter of time. It's going to happen anyway.

I think it's saying we can pay the bills but only if we stick to the agreed cashflow forecast, thus enabling SBC to get whatever interest and or capital as and when it's due. They are owed £68M though and interest is something like 9%. Maybe Short has renegotiated the repayment terms on condition the club involve SBC in the financial decision making process.

It's also a possibility that it makes financial sense for the club to be relegated.

That's what worries me as I posted earlier.
Is grayson viewed as the long term hope that if we do get relegated he has a track record in that division ?
Bain/short banking on fan loyalty, dwindling atm but a stability in this division or winning ways in div 1 seeing an upsurge ?

Scary times :(

An owner that thought £1.25m was sufficient transfer money to escape this league isn't going to sack a manager and pay compensation. The reality is we're stuck with Larry unless he decides to walk a way and the club doesn't have to pay compensate to another clueless manager.
