We cannot afford to sack Grayson as we dont have a pot to piss in. His pay off would be greater than the years transfer budget - although that wouldnt take much beating. SAFC is up shit creek at the moment.
How do you know what the T and Cs of his contract are? I'd be very surprised if there was much, if anything, in terms of severance. He was prepared to work on a rolling contract at Preston.

When Bain stops listening to Walter.
Who's Walter?

We have plenty money, or rather Short has. If he wants him gone he will fire him..

Ultimately this is probably true, unfortunately though it is apparently the case now that any major financial decisions must be signed off by security benefit corporation and they won't countenance anything which interferes with their repayment schedule.

So it'll be a a straight toss up between McCleash and Mccoist, want a time to be alive.

It sounds like we have to stick with Grayson as the yank bankers won't allow any exceptional expenditure, Grayson's pay off is in that category.

Not just him but the coaches who have been brought in with him, no way is short paying for that, your spot on with this.

I still think they'll be nominal, or nothing to pay. He was prepared to work season to season at Preston. However if that's the case, does it mean Short has effectively handed control of our finances to the loan company?

How would that work then?

One of the alleged club employees has confirmed that SBC have sign off on all major spend not in the agreed cashflow forecast. Sounds like Short has relinquished financial control to a point.
Wouldn't that be one step away from administration? He's basically saying we can't pay the bills, you run the club until you get what you're owed.

Not Surprising to be honest, hes gone back to USA as well the last time i checked, so he must be just waiting for someone to buy him out now.. i expect that to happen in 2019

I think it's saying we can pay the bills but only if we stick to the agreed cashflow forecast, thus enabling SBC to get whatever interest and or capital as and when it's due. They are owed £68M though and interest is something like 9%. Maybe Short has renegotiated the repayment terms on condition the club involve SBC in the financial decision making process.

It's also a possibility that it makes financial sense for the club to be relegated.

Well can you see the owner paying up the contracts of not only the manager but, his assistant and others who have joined him since he took the job.
So if he has to go cap in hand to the bank, that effectively puts them in charge?

Surely relegation means a reduction in turn over though?
