One fan?Of those listed I'd go for Manning. I've always liked the idea of picking the next top level UK coach. It may be Manning. MK Dons were the most impressive team I saw last year. And, yes, that is scant evidence but each choice is a risk. I could see the logic in Mowbray but the scathing post from 'Blackburn fan in peace' was a bit of a red flag. Previous fans opinions are not gospel but are definitely worth considering.
Stoke managed to get a manager who was employed by another club within a day of their previous manager being sacked……We need someone in quickly, so it's not likely to be someone in a job, particularly if they're at a club where they're doing reasonably well, and it's this early in the season. Not because of compensation, but because clubs are less likely to allow talks, and negotiations would take too long. So people like Robins, Manning, etc can't really be considered realistic targets.
