Tony Mowbray for me out of that list anyway. Keane won't be coming unless he accepts more money, no chance.

Tony Mowbray

Liam Manning

Anthony Barry

These seem to be the main 3 (not sure how serious the Roy Keane stuff was).

Be fascinating to see peoples opinions on the genuinely realistic options, rather than the Bielsa, Farke, Allardyce fantasies..

Tony is a safer bet but not popular, Manning is an untried and untested in the Championship but Barry seems to be an up and comer. I’d be happy to see Barry. First team coach at Chelsea and coaches the Belgium national team. Brings quality I think. The Championship should be a good challenge.

Huge difference between being a coach and being a manager

Mowbray and Manning (or similar) with Mowbray as oversight for player progression from u16 upwards. Joined up longevity, almost like a dof lol

I’d like to give Michael Carrick a shot me, localish lad (aye I know he probably supported Newcastle as a kid) has been managed by some of the best managers around in his career, great reader of the game as a player, has done his badges and is looking at a full time coaching shot, would probably be happy to fall into the head coach category and allow people above him to run the club

Big risk as his first job.

Ole possibly but I still think it’ll be Mowbray
