Next manager poll - serious candidate suggestions

I don’t know enough about how any manager operates to make an informed decision.

I will leave that to the professionals at the club to make that decision. (Mind I have no option on that as I am not in a position to appoint a manager)

I keep hoping we will appoint a manager and then we get some stability and a fairly long tenure.

Our history would suggest this is a forlorn hope.

That won’t happen for 2 reasons.

1) not successful
2) if he is successful another team who are smaller will poach him by doubling his wages.

If we are to believe Manning is one under consideration then you are completely incorrect as that would require compensation.
Presumably, we have just got compensation for AN. What makes you think we wouldn’t pay compensation for another teams head coach? Yet again presumably I wouldn’t think the compensation would be massive to MK Don's given that it was his first coaching role in England and they took a bit of punt. I really don't know though, maybe he wouldn’t come anyway as he feels a sense of loyalty to the club that gave him a chance, novel idea I know, but sometimes it does happen. I am sure we will know soon enough as we will have ask permission to speak to him. Personally, I don't think it will be him as I think MK would refuse the approach if we made it. However all just my opinion I may be totally wrong.

This, I don't understand why some posters are adamant we won't pay compensation, we've proved we'll pay fees for players this windowless,, there's no reason we wouldn’t for managers.

Why the clamour for Manning? What has he done to warrant managing in the championship. The last thing you want to do is give our inexperienced team and inexperienced manager.

Pure Football can't support a poll, but we can set one up on SMB and link to it. Let's hold on for any more serious suggestions before we set it up, don't want 'other' to win too easily!!
I've nailed my to the mast:) Put him at the top so we don't have to scroll

Darrell Clarke, Port Vale.

Yes, I remember reading that and thinking he looks good. Got Port Vale up to L1.
Are we not getting compensation from Stoke? in theory that could just be passed on
The fair chance that Neil's contract meant we need to pay Stoke.
There are no itk anymore so where is this ‘under consideration‘ coming from?
Judging from the managers who were considered last time… Neil, Keane and possibly Lennon, all were out of work with exception to Keane who had a Manager release clause in his tv contract.
I think its pretty much confirmed we talked to the Forest Green manager. I think this idea that we won't pay compensation is a red herring.

Worked well with an incredibly young squad increasing a load of their players’ value/worth for resale, plays an effective and aggressive high press which is the way the club want to play.

He basically fits the club’s remit.
