Are going to define this and maybe the coming years at this football club.

After a impressive seven points from nine, when to be honest I would have thought 1 would have been all we could hope for, it's now time for the club to show if we can push on.

Everton (H) (3)
Wolves (A) (1)
West Ham (H) (3)
Fulham (A) (1)
Bolton (H) (3)
Man U (A) (1)
Blackpool (H) (3)
Blackburn (H) (3)

If we can get it together then I don't see why we cannot get at least 18 points from this lot (as above) and go from now till then unbeaten.

However it is Sunderland so no doubt we will fuck it up, but we can really kick on now. Which every way I look at it, we should be getting at least 12 points (all home wins apart from Everton).

Ha'way the f***ing lads.

Just have to look at how tight the league is and how one good run from any side could put them in a brilliant position going into the new year and we have as good a chance as ANY team to put that run together.

We couldn't ask for a better chance to kick on, I hope Bruce and co. realise that.

compare to the mags next 7 games.

Newcastle v Chelsea,
West Brom v Newcastle,
Newcastle v Liverpool,
Birmingham v Newcastle,
Newcastle v Man City,
Tottenham v Newcastle,

If we get the results you suggest we'd be pushing for top spot at the end of it!

Chelsea, Arsenal and United all have to play each other in the coming weeks and they're already dropping points.

Can't see it happening tbh, but yes, we could realistically be in the top 4 on Christmas day. Reckon we'll fall of after that mind starting with a defeat at Old Trafford. We'll see.

I think 15-16 points for us them nil f***ing points

fuck it 19 points ;)

4 points can make you rise/drop 10 places this season. Probably the difference between top 2 and top 6.

Fair enough, but the only difference is that I think we could go to both Fulham and Man U and come away with a point.

14-18 points from that little lot would be great and possible.

Good point, one year ago this weekend we beat Arsenal.

We all thought that was it and we would push on up the league. Seen quinny that night in the pub to be fair to him he was stressing to me how important it was to follow it up with a good result at wigan in the next game and not to get too carried away, the rest is history.

We find ourselves in a similar position one year on, hopefully we push on and be all but safe after these games. The mags in general have seemed to slip up in the easier games and win when no-one gives them a chance, so with this easier run coming up lets show them how it's done as we fly on up the league. ;)

The last 2 seasons we have played well against the bigger teams in the division. Its consistency and beating the so called lesser teams where the problem seems to lie. Now this is the chance to put that right.

Can't wait. Even without the recent performances and results, I'd be looking at those fixtures optimistically (man u aside).

If all goes to plan we'd be top 5. WhAt a start we've had.

Thing is at the start of the season I was looking at 15 points from that little lot, but these are the bread and butter games and even more so re the home games.

Exactly, even the most cautious of sunderland fan cannot look at the Up and coming games without a little twinge of excitement. Again, can't wait.

At the start of the season I said we would finish as champions this year .

I was ridiculed beyond belief . But I stick to my guns . Every now and again a " humble " " hungry " team do it ...... Derby Forest Blackburn ........

As a red and white since 1963 .......I honestly believe we will do it . The next eight games will set us up nicely .

After the Newcastle game I said Newcastle will go down and I stick to my guns .

Who is going to stop us ?
