Newcastle tickets - ph.4 on sale 29.12.23

There are plenty of people who want to buy tickets – and who you might fairly expect to be able to buy them – but who currently can't.

That includes people who:
  • Have a purchase history for three home games, yet the system still won't let them buy a ticket
  • Live away from Sunderland and have a purchase history for more than three away games this season
  • Have been season card holders before this season (but have a longer-term purchase history)
All of these people are demonstrably not mags and can prove recent commitment to the club. I can't see why they would be excluded, yet the club is leaving many of them in limbo.

The harder problem is catering for fans who don't have a digital record because they buy tickets through friends or relatives. There are legitimate reasons why people do this and the club will have known about them when it switched to digital tickets. Doesn't sound like it's doing enough to stop people getting left behind.
I'd add to that. People who have tickets bought for them by others for convenience when sitting together on match by match basis.

It's one massive cock up by the heirachy. This game has carnage written all over it much like the Celtic game did. When the inevitable happens , as I honestly believe it will, the finger will be pointed in one direction and it will not be at the fans.😞

Surely their strategy is trying to prevent mags getting home end tickets, and it’s working

There’ll be loads of mags with account history but not 3 games this season

Surely if folk are that die hard they’ll have been to 3 home games this season, meaning no issue getting tickets

I think the bubble trip will stop all the bother people are wetting the bed over.

If they were allowed to get the train I'd agree. There's rarely trouble inside the ground or in the footprint just outside.

Why on earth would there be loads of mags with a SAFC account history?

Phase 4 will open the opportunity further to supporters
Phase 4 criteria - not yet set is it? Likely option for 2nd ticket per season ticket holder rather than open to non-season ticket holders with less than 3 purchase history?

I’ll say it again, lots of people (including me) buy tickets on their account and distribute accordingly. Also people with lots of history may move away so don’t have this years required history

I'm a season card holder and went on the site yesterday, bit surprised to see that I could buy a ticket. I've already bought my seat so another one wouldn't be any use to me as I couldn't forward it to anybody. Seemed odd though. Maybe the system isn't that sophisticated.
the system doesn't assume who you have in your network......allows you to basket a ticket, and then declines he sale if you havent got the purchase or forwarding rights.

According to comments on here and the club cancelling season cards recently who they thought were NUFC fans

While you distribute, you can assign to their account meaning they’ll get the points recognition. Something to bear in mind for future ticket allocations

That was for part season cards after the club advertised it as a way to get a guaranteed seat for the derby. The number of actual NUFC fans with a Sunderland purchase history will be minuscule.
