Newcastle tickets - ph.4 on sale 29.12.23

The club have been greedy In my opinion with the pricing of tickets otherwise we would of had a sell out by now or very close to It. I was hoping an Adult ticket would be around the 25 pound mark, I hesitantly paid the 32 pound, my dad had to pay 29 for his and he's an OAP shocking really it's only a 3 pound saving off an adult ticket, not sure how much a kids ticket Is but the club should of kept It affordable for supporters especially with It being just after the Xmas and new year
If you've paid it then it must be affordable unless you're putting yourself under financial difficulties for one game? As has been mentioned £32 is a regular cost for league games.
32 is fair. People will spend that on a few beers.
Of course they will but people want it to be as cheap as possible to buy more beers.

My nephew is at university, my sister wanted to get him a ticket for the mags as a Christmas present. Due to him being at Uni, he's not been to 3 games this season, so no Christmas stocking filler for him.
Concur, it’s Sunderland not Mogadishu ffs.
You've not been to the bottom of Hylton Rd for a while I take it.

Wed sell out very easily but the club are terrified of mags getting hold of tickets, hence the tight restrictions, and why I think giving STs a second is more likely than general sale
Doing it this way means makes sense however it would be nice if they'd done that from the start... Now everyone is doing to end up sat on their own instead of with their mates

I’ve added him to my network, but because he’s been working away he hasn’t had a purchase history of 3 or more home games this season
My mate is in the same situation. Up until leaving the area a couple of years ago to work away he had a ST since the SoL was built when he was 15.

Club clearly has all the data to say he’s not a mag but still won’t let me assign him a single seat that is available two seats away from mine. There’ll be seats free dotted around all over the ground unless they go on general sale to those with any purchase history.

It’s pathetic, exact same scenario here. My uncle had a ST last season, they know this. It’s laughable this should be sold out already, but this phase three was totally pointless. There needs to be either another phase of general sale this coming week.

Now the season card holders who want tickets have them why are they f***ing about with phases. Just chuck them on general sale to anybody with a purchase history. First come first serve. Why they make everything so difficult is behond me.

Because they offered people the opportunity to buy themselves more tickets for future fixtures to guarantee themselves a ticket for the Mags one too.

So, in a word, ‘revenue’

There are plenty of people who want to buy tickets – and who you might fairly expect to be able to buy them – but who currently can't.

That includes people who:
  • Have a purchase history for three home games, yet the system still won't let them buy a ticket
  • Live away from Sunderland and have a purchase history for more than three away games this season
  • Have been season card holders before this season (but have a longer-term purchase history)
All of these people are demonstrably not mags and can prove recent commitment to the club. I can't see why they would be excluded, yet the club is leaving many of them in limbo.

The harder problem is catering for fans who don't have a digital record because they buy tickets through friends or relatives. There are legitimate reasons why people do this and the club will have known about them when it switched to digital tickets. Doesn't sound like it's doing enough to stop people getting left behind.

Have said this on many occasions on here, mine are both at uni but I have a long history of buying the same 3 tickets on a fairly regular basis. Means I have been unable to buy tickets for boro and mags. A rare bit of common sense was applied when I emailed the club asking nicely if I would be allowed tickets for the powder keg Coventry fixture.

The way things are at the minute I can’t even be arsed to follow what is needed for phase 4 5 6 7 & 8 for the mags game.

Club needs to be very careful of fans just giving up, especially if results carry on like they are.

Everyone should have an account and a purchase history for future events like this and others, club are going to make it even more harder to buy tickets without one imo

This is correct, I know of around a dozen or so from South cumbria who probably go to a handful of games over the years none have a customer number and are now going to less games due to the digitalisation of tickets..they want to decide last minute if they can go or not
Why is that? It’s actually quicker and more efficient to buy tickets digitally. Zero queuing, no losing paper tickets, it’s quickly emailed to your phone, ready to scan in
