They can have him since his expensive u21 team couldn't finish above our home grown team.

Mind he may bring back the entertainer days looking at their goal difference.

I hate the "football" Allardyce plays so much that for me it's not worth it. You are completely writing off the chance (small as it is) of having an exceptional season, or seeing great football. I don't want to watch that garbage every week, even if it puts some points on the board.

Even this season as soon as they were safe playing attacking decent football he reverted to his old ways and their form was terrible.

I also don't think he or Pullis (who I loathe as much) is an absolute guarantee of survival in the way some on here seem to claim. They have both taken clubs to the very brink of relegation before being peddled.

Both spent big in the market.

A little biased but interesting read

Why? There's literally hundreds and hundreds of experienced managers out there. They turn over hundreds of millions of pounds. Why give that job to a complete novice?
Why?
It's a break from the managerial merry go round and gives a young coach a fantastic opportunity.

Although I fully understand the clamour for experience it's not something I'm hung up on.

If Viera and Keame are deemed to be risks. I assume MON was deemed to be safe? That worked out well.

Keegan at the mags first time was also deemed a risk but was a success, you can never tell that's what makes it so interesting.

"Future City Manager" haway mate ! I'm not having a go at them but it's a massive risk and if Ashley doesn't change its not gonna be pleasent. As much of a risk as our link with Clement and I'd happily take Allardyce over him personally
This is another place the comparison to RK doesn't stand up. Drumville gave RK an 85m bath tub full of cash. PV will be working with buttons. Unless MA changes (which he won't) it's a tough start for PV.

Luke Edwards rattling on about how the story is based on the shortening of bookmaker's odds and nothing else because SSN always just report things based on what the bookmakers are telling them.

Luke Edwards paper are pro-Mclaren

this forum is bizarre at best, borderline bipolar at worst, we are linked with Clement who has coached alongside on of the best club managers in the word in Ancelotti for years and 'its a massive risk', 'will go wrong', 'no experience', 'not what we need', 'we need a manager with pedigree not a highly rated coach'

Mags linked with Viera who ha coached at one of the richest clubs in the world, worked with some genuinely quality players and has been tipped to manage Man City someday and on here its 'hope its not true', 'highly thought of', 'worth a gamble', 'would do a good job' etc

just cant keep up really

Some dont want clement and want experience, but shitting themselves at the mags going for the same thing, either works or it doesnt

Do you think Vieira has what it takes to be a manager?

Yes, de facto he have been a manager for the development squad that constantly are sending players out on loan all over Europe.. But he haven´t been a first team coach yet.

To be fair, this forum really isn't any different to other forums. For similar scenarios people can have their glass half full or half empty as it suits them.

Both clubs need to resolve their manager situation immediately. I'd be happy with McClaren. While the financial imbalance makes winning things almost impossible he'll be steady enough.
