Newcastle players go on media strike

Not sure it'll do anything, but from hawking their tat via Twitter several times a day, sports direct haven't tweeted in two weeks since every tweet was being replied to by Newcastle fans with stuff showing Sports Direct and Ashley in a negative light.
So I'd say that is having some kind of effect.
It may all be ultimately futile but also doing nothing will acheive nothing either. Good luck to those taking part

Shows who buys stuff from Sports Direct

Queer one this.

Obviously, Ashley is playing a game of some sorts here that I just cannot fathom. The players should be payed whatever they are due, hard as it is to feel sympathy for multi millionaires who play football. A deal is a deal.

But Ashley is anything but a mug, and if he has done this before as has been suggested, he can't claim a mis-understanding. He knows what he is doing. So what is behind this?

Clearly he has had enough of being involved in football and I'm sure as hell he would welcome any serious cash bid. But this will hardly attract the next daft in the head billionaire to come up with the readies.

Something going on here.

Ashley.
The reports from last year say it was finally resolved after Lascelles as team captain talked it out with Ashley.

Part of the reason Hughton was sacked was because the players wouldn't sign a bonus sheet as the offer was derisory and tried to force the players into signing it. Joey Barton speaks about it ij his book and on a QPR podcast about it(clip is on YouTube somewhere). Hughton was seen as being unable to control his players, and among the senior ones allegedly leading the revolt were soon out the door, Barton and Nolan
well you can't get much more revolting than those two

Rafagation2...

Just when you thought it couldn't be worse than the first time - Parliament investigation!
Lavery will eloquently raise this issue at PMQ's

He has form for this, I think Hughton lost his job at the time for supporting his players

It’s a bad situation. Owner and manager off each other’s Xmas list, owner and fans divorced. At £400m it hardly represents a good deal either.

Actually, scratch that, it’s a good situation, fuck the lot of them. Players, owner, Rafa the f***ing lot.

Im going to go out on a limb and say they will get absolutely nowt from those games

I agree with this. Maybe draw at Cardiff but with it being Cardiff's home game I'm expecting nothing. Rock bottom after 5 games imo

Palace away, Leicester at home then Man United away after that. 8 games in and we will be lucky to have 7 points imo

Yous always seem to pull 1 result out of the bag against the big boys. Lucky kernts.

Well law of averages says in 12 games home and away you will get something from some of those. Expect 12 defeats and if you get the odd draw or win its a bonus.
24 year since we won at Anfield though so that's one I'd like to see again.

You lot often come out smelling of roses. You’ll beat Spurs then the fans will all be happy clappy until the next bad loss and Mr.Ashley will get the blame for it.
