Making them the 7th best supported team in the Premier League, according to a survey published in today's Times (page 91).

Yet people on here whinge on when we get lower attendances than them.

So what is your point mate?

You are right and ive always made this point. There are in the region of 1.5 million more people that have SJP as the nearest big club ground than the SOL and they average a few thousand more.

Could you possibly list the top 10? I'd be really interested to see it. Recently I got to into an argument with a Villa and an Everton fan who both claimed their respective clubs had more fans than each other and Spurs. I wasn't sure who had the most fans out of Villa and Everton, but surely Spurs have far more fans than either of them.

The article doesn't list the top 10 in the Prem.

Its just lists the best supported clubs in the world, of which the Mags happened to be on the list.

Tottenham have 11 million according to the survey, making them better supported than Villa and Everton who were unlisted.

Id have said so.

13th in the world too. Newcastle aren't a big club though eh? ;)
I'd imagine if the survey had've been done about 5-10 years ago, before Spurs threatened for the CL and before City's influx of cash, we'd be above them too.

we might have millions more after our trip to south korea!!!

No you won't, Korean players haven't done the wonders many expect it to do for Sunderland for Bolton, Celtic and others in the past. This myth that having a Korean player will generate lots of new income and interest from overseas needs to be put to bed.

You mean when Newcastle had an influx of cash and challenged Champions League? Doesn't that mean you had plenty part time supporters back then and that City and Spurs are following in a similar fashion? Pointless point.

Newcastle are a big club but are the only big club who wank themselves silly about being a big club with decent crowds and that makes them look pretty small time to onlookers.

This. Europe has forgotten them.

They're just known as "that team that played in a cheap looking strip and always got dicked on by little french clubs".

It was so long ago I've forgotten. I do remember you being slaughtered at home to Inter though. Recoba made an appearance off the bench, rattled one in from about 30 yards and ran off with his hand to his mouth. Proper take the piss stuff. Cracking entertainment.
