Yous spent near £80m the Rafagation season you stupid **** that was before fees went beyond bonkers then your fat has been manager bloated your squad while spending £50m to get out of a league the likes of Dyche, Mick McCarthy and Neil Warnock can get out of with barely a penny to spendTo be fair we have raked in 40m more in season ticket money than most clubs and have made at least 30/40m in the transfers than prettt much every club.
So where is the money? Why can't he just get a quality number 10 or striker in?
Ashley would rather risk spending nothing and scraping 17th. In the event of another relegation he will just fund promotion again then turn the money off. Ashley's nufc the definition of a shit vicious circle.
Have you ever considered that quality strikers don't want to play in a Benitez style team?
Or that NUFC isn't an attractive club to go to.
Or that this ridiculous 'famous number 9' shite puts people off.
Watford lowest position all season was 14th, not 17thI said falls as in fall down the league. I didn’t say they would definitely go down. If you look back I’ve said Fulham look the most likely but Brighton could be possible. Mainly because I think Burnley and Southampton in particular will get more results now and Fulham depends on this window.
Watford went from 10th at xmas to 4th bottom by the end of the season because they went 13 games with only three wins. Losing 7 of their last 8.
Norwich had an ok first half of the season (14th in Jan) but only won 3 of their last 18 which coincided with our upturn in form (which is what I think Burnley/Southampton will do) where in the same period we only lost 1 when we had looked buried for the whole season previous to that.
Newcastle have lost 6 points in a week which shows how quick it can change if the bottom sides start picking up points. Southampton have got 7 points in the last month and played City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Man Utd in it.
Brighton have already gone nearly 2 month without a win this season
Brighton’s next 3 games are Liverpool, Man Utd and Fulham away. If they lose to the first two the Fulham game is a big one for them. Southampton have Leicester, Everton and Palace so by end of Jan Southampton could have halfed the deficit. Might depend on which Leicester side turns up mind. All hinges on what Fulham do this window as they look the least likely to put a string of results together so far (bar Cardiff and Huddersfield) who I think will go down.
£40m ÷ 52000 screaming season ticket holders = £769 per ticket. To be fair we have raked in 40m more in season ticket money than most clubs and have made at least 30/40m in the transfers than prettt much every club.

£40m in ST cash,?
Bloody hell there must be some very expensive seats there. My mate has a dad and lad ticket there, ( had it for a few years actually) and he pays a set figure a month. Under £50 I'm sure. Haven't seen him for a bit but I'd have heard if he'd hoyed it in. I
Have you considered that the form/careers of various players have suffered under Benitez?
The organisation of the defence is his only thought.
In the meantime players like Murphy, Ritchie, Shelve, etc have become worse players.
The spark and creativity seems to be knocked out of players.
I'm sure that's why they choose to go to clubs like Watford instead of Newcastle, must be excruciatingly boring playing in a Benitez team.
@Mr DavidAgain no. Not that Ashley would allow th signings of quality players but it's a fair point
He could always sell a few of their star players to finance a rebuild, Rondon for example.....oh, he's not theirs!Ashley rarely appears on TV but gave an interview to say he wanted shot of the club and won't spend money.
How clear does he have to make it before these people get it![]()
Watford lowest position all season was 14th, not 17th
Norwich - 14th at January to relegation is not tumbling down the league, they were only 14th as they won 3 out of 4, before that they were consistently around 16th/17th in relegation trouble.
Newcastle - they have been in trouble since day 1, they do not fit into the scenario of tumbling down the league.
Brighton - went 5 games without a win where they played Liverpool, Spurs and Man city and they are still 10 points above the relegation places.
I'm not disputing that teams can look more or less down and then survive, I'm saying its a myth that 1 team always drops.
It was a joke marra...Give over man. It was bad, but there’s plenty worse throughout the season year after year.
Brighton are probably 10ish points from safety with 17 games to go, forget about them, they'll get over the line. Palace have 10 points from their last 5 games, they should be able to get 14 points from their remaining 17 games.I didn’t say drops? I said falls as as in falls down the league towards the end which I’ve alreadt explained (which was why I gave numerous examples of sides who lost form towards the end and got dragged into a battle or ended up going down.) All this over semantics?
16/17 season Watford fell from 10th at xmas to 17th (where they finished). 2016–17 Watford F.C. season - Wikipedia After a horrendous run of form at the end.
I think out of the bottom 8 or so Brighton will be one that will see form drop off (because I think they are currently over achieving). Whether that is enough to send them down I don’t know. That will depend on the other sides below them but both Southampton and Burnley have strong enough squads to get out of where they are (with both starting to get some good results) and Fulham has just got a new manager and started to look more solid and will do the most business in the window imo. That does t guarantee results, mind which is why I think they look the most likely to drop out of the others. Mags look in trouble as well but they normally get a couple of decent results even when playing shite.

It's down to the bottom six and in reality, probably 2 from 5 with Huddersfield adrift.
Fulham and Southampton will probably be able to buy their way out, so that leaves Burnley who've won their last two, Cardiff and the mags.
Mags
Cardiff
Huddersfield
IMO.
Six out of their next eight, televised!?
