To be fair we have raked in 40m more in season ticket money than most clubs and have made at least 30/40m in the transfers than prettt much every club.

So where is the money? Why can't he just get a quality number 10 or striker in?

Ashley would rather risk spending nothing and scraping 17th. In the event of another relegation he will just fund promotion again then turn the money off. Ashley's nufc the definition of a shit vicious circle.

There is nothing as cringe worthy as an open letter.

Blackpool fans the other day, they have real problems, yet they behave with dignity, stop giving their owner money, stop attanding and engage with other teams fans well to get sympathy and support. And when you read about what the oystons have done to their club it's different level to Ashley.

Contrast with the way these balloon knots go on it's chalk and cheese.

You owe Mike £144 million in loans, you absolute whopper.

Newcastle United Supporters Trust (NUST), True Faith fanzine, The Mag fanzine, The Magpie Group, Newcastle Fan TV, #IfRafaGoesWeGo, London Magpie Group and Newcastle Legends have teamed up to produce the open letter

They are not going to be taken seriously by Ashley because the True Geordie hasn't signed the letter ...

Try as I might I cannot remember any Lads fans writing ever to Ellis Short ... funny we do now on twitter to @stewartdonald ...

D:cool:nald ... R:cool:ss ...

Shh man! The mags aren't being allowed to spunk £60m in transfer windows, they have it far worse than Blackpool

dear god. do they honestly think he is going to read that. and if he did, then think to himself 'eee, actually, these lads have some very good points here. hadn't considered any of that, i shall take action immediately, might even get them on as business advisers'.

its pathetic. like a jim'll fix it letter

We are writing to urge you to do what is right for Newcastle United this month and we hope, for a change, you are willing to listen to us and act accordingly.

That'll do it, mind. They're dying to call him a wanker.

Norwich didn't leave the bottom 4 from the 23rd game.
Hull is a decent example, but they didn't go down
Newcastle have been around the bottom since the season started and wouldn't be classed as dropping like a stone if they go down
Have a look and see if you can actually find one that goes down.

Our miracle seasons are the opposite of what you said about Brighton.

They were 19th on New years day when they lost 3 0 to arsenal

I said falls as in fall down the league. I didn’t say they would definitely go down. If you look back I’ve said Fulham look the most likely but Brighton could be possible. Mainly because I think Burnley and Southampton in particular will get more results now and Fulham depends on this window.

Watford went from 10th at xmas to 4th bottom by the end of the season because they went 13 games with only three wins. Losing 7 of their last 8.

Norwich had an ok first half of the season (14th in Jan) but only won 3 of their last 18 which coincided with our upturn in form (which is what I think Burnley/Southampton will do) where in the same period we only lost 1 when we had looked buried for the whole season previous to that.

Newcastle have lost 6 points in a week which shows how quick it can change if the bottom sides start picking up points. Southampton have got 7 points in the last month and played City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Man Utd in it.

Brighton have already gone nearly 2 month without a win this season

Brighton’s next 3 games are Liverpool, Man Utd and Fulham away. If they lose to the first two the Fulham game is a big one for them. Southampton have Leicester, Everton and Palace so by end of Jan Southampton could have halfed the deficit. Might depend on which Leicester side turns up mind. All hinges on what Fulham do this window as they look the least likely to put a string of results together so far (bar Cardiff and Huddersfield) who I think will go down.

Have you ever considered that quality strikers don't want to play in a Benitez style team?

Or that NUFC isn't an attractive club to go to.

Or that this ridiculous 'famous number 9' shite puts people off.

£40m in ST cash,?
Bloody hell there must be some very expensive seats there. My mate has a dad and lad ticket there, ( had it for a few years actually) and he pays a set figure a month. Under £50 I'm sure. Haven't seen him for a bit but I'd have heard if he'd hoyed it in. I

Their next 6 league games are brutal. Could define their season. Due to Cup and international breaks it takes them to end of Feb. They could be gone without player investment this window
