Just caught up on this post, especially enjoyed the quotes from Riviera and Billy Whitehurst, absolutely spot on. There's no point in mag fans being on here trying to share some banter when they lose, and having a go when they do well.

As for Williamson, is he acting as Barton whilst hes suspended? What a prick, there's always someone doing something shit up there, whether it be on or off the field. Supporters are as much pricks and two faced as the players (refers back to Joey Bartons new leaf)

Exactly mate. I maybe 'respect' them more if they were consistent in there approach.

BUT RFE and Shinton are just about tolerable unlike that prick Strawberry who should just be 'moderated'

Haha, I failed in the quote anyway, bad times all round really, had a complete mare myself.

Were dross today- my stream froze and I didn't go back to it (did you see me sneaking out?)

The walloping was welcomed on here but surely a draw would have been the best outcome for SAFC and their European aspirations.

Of course if your dislilke for the Mags is greater than your love of Sunderland then knock yersels out ;)

Can you suggest any NUFC players that we could get lessons from? Maybe we could hoy glasses at Carol's burned out Range Rover?

to my mind Williamson aggressively blocked the player off - clearly part of the "roughing up" that was being dished out and it merited a card - their heads made contact as part of this - a headbutt?? I just dont know. I think a red would be harsh. Having said that if its examined in slo-mo it can only look worse.

I didn't see any of the Mugs game but did hear Charlie Nicholas on Sky saying 4 or 5 of the Mug players were out to get Elmander.
What was that all about ?
And he said that early on.

there was no doubt about it - not sure why he was a particular target - identified as 'soft' and targeted to get a reaction from the others??
(FAIL)

Are you for real????

I'd much rather have beat the filth 3-0 and lost 5-1 at Chelsea.

This for me too......and I, for one, am happy enough to have Mag visitors on here, especially those who come on 'come rain or shine' like the OP - rather have them than the ones who just Bolt On when they win and Bolt Off when they lose.

That's one big leap. You usually have to elbow it, nut and then glass it first

Very clever:lol::lol:

i dont think its a case of being fooled.maybe some people are not so easily wound up as other's.of course they are on this board to winde us up.but at least him and shinton are readable.

Too true .
The board would become a boring place if we wern't visited by supporters of other clubs , even on a wind up .
I have no problem with this . If it worries you so much Riveira , go onto his board and do the same .

It doesn't Joe, it's just a wind-up mate

RFE, what do you think of our other resident mag, The Strawberry?

A bit more abraisive than myself but you get a cross section of posting styles in any forum - as this thread demonstrates.

I'm not here to try and make friends but I will generally keep a civil tongue in my head. When I'm on a coffee break (like now) I find that indulging in a bit of cut and thrust on here is more mentally stimulating than the Sun crossword or Loose Women.

So.. We aren't friends? :-(

At the risk of going all Wenger on you - I never saw it. I had a poor stream yesterday when the incident happened and so it was a bit pixellated. However I have been looking on the 'headbutts' (© Otway & Barrett) thread on here to try and get a look but there wasn't a link yet.

However if Williamson did use the heed then he won't be defended by me. I am somewhat alarmed at our lack of discipline this season and we are missing Barton as a result of his idiocy (I never defrended him in here although I did say that Pederson made a meal of it).

Playing for NUFC doesn't make a person infallible to these eyes ya knaa.

Surely the lack of on-field fisticuffs between team members is a massive leap forward in terms of discipline for your lot?

It seems obvious that, despite their protestations, there's something about Sunderland that long-term 'visitors' find appealing.

Idiots like the Strawberry come and go but it's apparent that our 'resident Mags' could be Sunderland fans without a big leap of faith.
After all there were thousands who switched sides, a few years back, at the first glimpse of a curly perm and a helicopter.

Of course they'll throw their hands in the air and claim this is nonsense but I couldn't spend day after day with Newcastle fans in the way that they do with Sunderland on RTG.

I run the risk of incurring your wrath for laughing boy icon use but what the hell...

To reiterate. There is more verbal sparring to be had when rivals meet than there is when those with a common purpose do - simple as that. I think you are analysing the situation a bit too much Riv. Forum posting is a way to pass time that's all - just like reading a book or knocking one out before MotD comes on. You DO?
