Were dross today- my stream froze and I didn't go back to it (did you see me sneaking out?)

The walloping was welcomed on here but surely a draw would have been the best outcome for SAFC and their European aspirations.

Of course if your dislilke for the Mags is greater than your love of Sunderland then knock yersels out ;)

Maybe, but you don't get many 5-1 draws

Nope, its pure polarisation, no comparisons to be made....I love Sunderland and hate Newcastle ;)

Another thread posted by a mag on a Sunderland board, and they call us obsessed.

It's November so plenty of time to worry about Europe.

funny you should mention that. I threw all sorts of jokes and stuff towards my B&W brother before who came back with "well we beat you 5-1.." I then pointed out that I wouldn't swap 3 pts in that game for 3 pts at Chelsea. His response was "well that shows the commitment of your fans to the derby. You lot clearly don't take it seriously. Biggest game of the season and you'd rather get beat and then beat Chelsea" etc etc. I didn't hesitate to point out that our season is more than 90 minutes against Newcastle and we've got bigger fish to fry these days. :)

As bad as Newcastle were, did Bolton play well? They seem to be on fire at the moment.

We will do well to finish in the top 10 - would be nice to see you relegated again!

Has the talk of qualifying for Europe gone out the window now then?:lol:

They were competent - fought well for the ball but looked easily opened up. Every man for himself upfront - very wasteful.

BUT - looking at the fixtures coming up I expect them to hang around the top 4/5/6 until at least the new year.

I live in the real world and I'd still take 17th. As a newly promoted side we were never going to set the league alight but we have caused a few shocks on the way (including one immensely satisfying one). Worrying times but I can take heart from the fact that we are almost half way to a supposedly safe 40 points with only a third of the season gone.

I wish you'd get over that game at the Emirates, it's history man!
;)
