New series of Ambulance - The BBC programme features North East Ambulance Service

Watched the first one and haven’t been able to watch since. Hand picked jobs and faux welfare calls between comms and the crews.
They should have just allowed the crews and staff in the EOC to crack on as they do on a daily basis showing the extreme pressures and challenges that are regularly placed upon them. Would have made for much better viewing and also really shown the general public these wonderful people in their true light.

Yes, too much scripted stuff around crew welfare. I’m sure there is some but it’s too prevalent in the programme. These people are doing a brilliant job and there is no need to garnish the programme somewhat. The crews are bloody tremendous people mind, very challenging and clearly emotional work sometimes. I don’t know how they manage it frankly.

Last night's had a rough one, paramedics turned up to a job expecting to find an adult in arrest only to find an adult and a child both in cardiac arrest.

Thought so, obviously the crews would have been completely unaware until a while later that the kid had been murdered. But imagine if they knew the facts before getting there and having to try and save the mother knowing what she had done. Would be a total mindfuck that. Especially with the kid lying right next to the mother.
