New pub(s) in Sunderland

Went in Flannigans yesterday. Well, I say went in, we walked in and was hit by a smell of what seemed like a thousand unwashed vaginas. We walked straight back out without ordering a pint.

Same. It was absolutely stinking, turned round and walked out. Missus was out last night and her and her mate got a drink and couldn't finish them.

I'll be amazed if it lasts until Christmas.

Flanagan's - meh. Overpriced for what it sells, come out stinking of chip fat.
The Central - really hope this one works, canny folk running it, the lass behind the bar is good crack and 2 bottles for a fiver is good value. Guiness on point as well. Actually detour to pop in there now. sooner Mackie's corner is sorted the better.

Went in for breakfast last Saturday and it was canny. No smell, but I did have to advise the staff that the fire exit shouldn’t be chained up.
Yea you are right health and safety implications with that. The food in there is quality no unsual smells when I've been in too.
