Donald the compulsive liar? That Donald?
If that knacker told me it was Monday today I’d seek a second opinion.
I personally would settle for him not making any decisions about the running of the club.

I would like to think that better times for our club are inevitable and once we get to a decent championship position he will sell his shares.
I’d settle for him and his purple trousered popinjay lowping off the wear bridge together.

Anywhere I can read the article without a Times subscription?

And am I reading it that he has paid £30M to Donald minus £11M to the Yanks, or £30M to Donald plus £11M to the Yanks? I presume the former rather than the latter?
I think it’s the former. £30m but that includes £11m to FPP so £19m to Donald for 59% of the club, that would stack up financially. I doubt KLD and his advisors are wet behind the ears when it comes to doing deals.
The club doesn't own the Hotel...Ellis Short does
Correct

Can look at this 2 ways:

1- KLD was desperate to buy us and wants us to be successful, I mean would he pay all that and then not put money back into the club...doubtful IMO.

2- KLD very short on business sense being so young and has overpaid, potential concern for the future maybe?

Dosser Donald said that he accepted KLD offer over others even though had bid more...people honestly bid over £40 million for around 60% of shares?! I’d bid £15 million and have wanted 100% of the shares!!!

No. The whole club is valued at £30m. He has bought 59% of that. The loan has been repayed, but it doesn't say who by.

Talking shite again. I don’t know why he bothers. Surely by now he must have realised most people don’t believe a word that comes out of his gob.

Or you could look at it a different way that RR have misquoted the times who never said KLD was paying £30 million.
What was said was the club was worth 30 million and KLD is buying 59%.
KLD has paid £18 million

3 - the Tweet is misleading and the actual article states that the valuation of the club is £30M for the purposes of the deal, not that his 59% cost him £30M

Reactions: KLD
I think we’d better just wait for the official announcement and see if that gives us the correct purchase price and share allocation. The Times article is very vague, it is thought that the 23 year old could have purchased 59% of the club.

I’ll wait for the correct details before I decide whether they’ve spanked his arse or not.

It's 59% for the club, not Donald, not hard to understand like.

Not sure why folk are struggling to understand this.

Haway lad, it's not some young boy just blowing his pocket money, I'm pretty sure he and his advisers know what they're doing.

Think it is 59% of £30m that has been paid by KLD. Don't really care though as long as it means Donald is not in control. Hopefully better days to come.

This needs to be put as a banner at the top of the page

Take away his age. Surely everybody who buys a football club has seen advice and spoken to their advisors, they all think it would work. Look at Short and even Dosser Donald

Also from what I've heard the loan money hasnt been transferred but I do think that will have to come from Donald, the only chance he has of making any profit is when he sells his remaining 15%
