New Music Releases Thread

Ok, so the new Arcade Fire material is wank.

However, after several hundred gigs, that was the greatest show I have ever been to. Radiohead last night were incredible as ever. However this was a completely different scale
Blown. Away

Were you there tonight? You were in the company of Jude Law if so.

Looks like a very good set list tonight. Looking forward to tomorrow.

To answer your earlier PM mate, unfortunately didn't. Took your advice and tried ticketmaster but nothing happening. Spoke to somebody who went last night ticketless and they said standard was £200 off few touts who did have them.
I was working in Camden until after 6.30 so with a heavy heart thought fuck it and didn't head over.
Saw a few videos from last night and it looked amazing. Glad you loved it. No doubt they'll play more accessible gigs in the near future.
Sorry to hear that mate

Yep, was quality

This week's new releases appear to be low on numbers but potentially high on quality. New albums from Broken Social Scene, Haim, The Melvins, Public Service Broadcasting, Toro y Moi, Jupiter & Okwess and The Americans.

Disappointed with that. The new songs sounded good at Glastonbury although less so when recorded.

Think Jay-Z will be out everywhere tomorrow too.
I think "want you back" is very good so yeah, disappointing to hear the horrid reviews

Me too. I've only heard one of the pre-order tracks on the new one and wasn't impressed but the new ones sounded alright on the Glastonbury coverage. I hope it's not a case of "anyone can write one very good album".
oddly - the impending PSB album release on friday has me thinking something very similar...

Just drinking my first beer before arcade fire tonight. Gannin my ends to make up for not drinking at radiohead on Tuesday. New song is shite mind
