Sad to see Majical Cloudz call it day, superb couple of records. The lead singer is going solo so we'll see how that works out..
Warm Digits are playing the Cumberland Arms in Byker in April with the promise of new material coming out soon. Well worth catching them if you're into kraut/psych.
Aye get on the case as the Cumberland only holds about 100. Parastatic are spot on, keep an eye out for the Evolution Emerging thing at the back end of May as they are playing which seems strange as they've released 2 albums already and it's meant to be for new bands.Great band. Saw them there last yeae r when they played with other great local kraut / psych band Parastatic. Need to sort ticket asap actually as they always sell out.

For new stuff there's a canny band called Eat Lights Become Lights who are worth checking out. Also a, I think, scottish fella who goes by the name of Kosmischer Laufer. He released a couple of very limited copies of vinyl albums which are meant to be soundtracks for the East German Olympic team. They are worth a few quid now but I managed to get a couple of press release cds by emailing him and paying a few quid which are spot on.Cheers for tip off RE Evolution. Never made it to one so Deffo try and head down. Had a quick check on the website but nothing announced as of yet so cheers for that.
Without trawling back through your posts on here Be keen to hear any other kraut / psych recommendations you have mate.

You can't go wrong with any of Stereolab's stuff either and Time Gane's new stuff Cavern of Anti-Matter which I was just tipped off about by @Arkle
For old stuff it's the usual - Can, Neu, Harmonia, Ash Ra Tempel, Amon Duul II etc.
Line up for this year's Evolution Emerging

Looking forward to the yorn record, I wish he'd do a proper uk tour. Most exciting day of the year for me - the new Pete Yorn and Steven Page (ex Barenaked Ladies) albums are out today!
I was lucky enough to see him in New York the week Nightcrawler was released. AFAIK the only time he's played Scotland in the last 5 or so years was when my Mrs was in the middle of her accountancy exams so couldn't go!Looking forward to the yorn record, I wish he'd do a proper uk tour.
Hadn't realised that was today too!Methyl Ethel record is f***ing excellent. I got into it last year when they were on some two bob Australian indie; now re-released on 4AD.
Iggy Pop (and Josh Homme) record is very good on first few listens, too.

Oh right. I'll wait til Apple Music have it next week then.Official release week today but quite a few sites streaming it now.
