New Music Releases Thread

Finally got around to buying Pinkshinyultrablasts's new album Grandfeathered today. f***ing class and perhaps a step up from their debut on the noise stakes. I know they played the Liverpool Psych Festival but a trip over to the North East would be more than welcome. Highly recommended.

When's anthraxs new album coming out?
It's coming out last week!

What should I be looking to check out this week? Had a quick look online and in the New Music section of Apple Music but The only thing that jumped out is the Model Aeroplanes EP, and I have no idea what they sound like but they are from the same part of Dundee as me!

   thanks for that :lol::lol:

First single from the new Eagulls record, like it a lot. If the new record is more like this than the first release, I'm looking forward to hearing it. Very Smiths/Cure.

Latest discovery are a band called FEWS. Only have a few songs but Ill is a cracker imho

New Violent Femmes is well worth a listen...
Have you listened to Fatima Al Qadiri?

I really really like it

Described as follows by last.fm

فاطمة القادري (Romanization: Fatima Al Qadiri) is a Brooklyn-based composer, musician, curator and artist. Born in Senegal, Al Qadiri's exposure to the rampant misappropriation of Western subculture while growing up in Kuwait is apparent in her highly virtuosic body of work. She has performed her symphonic and plaintive baroque electronic compositions at The Kitchen, Gallery 179 and Santos Party House and has regularly exhibited multimedia projects in New York City and Kuwait alongside fellow iconoclasts Khalid Al Gharaballi and Lauren Boyle.

And Witch House, whatever the fuck that is

I will do based on this.

@James got tickets for Car Seat Headrest at the 100 Club today, as well as Ulrika Spacek

The new Anna Meredith album is deserving of a second listen, as is Melaena Cadiz.

Have also decided that FEWS are f***ing tremendous

Cheers mate, didn't even know they were playing London again, will have to sort tickets this morning. Definitely worth seeing again, thought they were topper the other week.

Esben and the Witch are playing the Victoria in Dalston tonight, you heading along?

Nah, gonna skip even tho they are good. Next week I have 4 gigs I think

Can't believe I've been waiting four and a half years for Gonzalez to release new music and this is the first track

It's alright I suppose.
I was massively disappointed on first listen, but it's a grower the more I've given it a chance. I'm hoping there's a bit more of the epic grandeur he normally does so well on the rest of the record and a little less of trying to sound like a pound shop Daft Punk.
