Good question. Maybe that's why he's looking elsewhere. He's gone very quiet at Durham recently.

I thought that was just towards the end of the pandemic as an interim measure, not a permanent thing .

No I'm pretty sure it would have been permanent. At that point Slasher Strauss wasn't involved.

Bostock aside this is very encouraging from a cricket pov. And, ultimately, if the ECB works for the good of the game then Durham (and our conveyor belt of talent for England) should come out of it well.

The shocking part of the article was “the headcount of those employed by the governing body is fast approaching 500 with an average salary of over £100,000” This can’t be right, surely? That’d be £50m in salaries. Between 500 people
