New book

Dunno how people can read an author who writes vocabulary as if it is being portrayed in Internet meme form.

 just a matter of taste I think

Anyone got any tips for a good book to read on holiday?
Pretty open minded but im fancying a sci-fi/fantasy maybe?

Frank Herbert - Dune
Joe Abercrombie - First Law Trilogy (starting with The Blade Itself)

Ursula leGuin - A Wizard of Earthsea

Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky is excellent.

If you're looking for something a bit more easy reading then Artemis by Andy Weir (author of the martian) is fun. Or give "All our wrong todays" by Elan Mastai a go which is a fun back to the future-esque adventure.

Decided to go with COT. only 50 pages in but its right up my street so far. Very good.

They are f***ing brilliant. Enjoyed the 3 standalone novels too. Really looking forward to the next trilogy.
I’ve listened to all of them on Audible. Just finished A Little Hatred. Fantastic.

Before I started I read he did young adult stories. I thought First Law was one for a bit, but it quickly set me straight. Good stories and some great humour.
