New boiler costs

I know there are a few helpful tradesmen on here so wondering if someone could give me an idea of how much a replacement boiler should cost. The kitchen cupboard is big enough so it shouldn't need moving. Don't know if house size matters but it's a 1970s four bedroom.
would like a decent one rather than just going for the cheapest. Is there such a thing as ones where you can put the heating on remotely (I'm not that up on technology 😃). We never know when we'll be in from work.
Thanks folks.

You’re looking at a couple of grand. Ours packed up in November 2021 and some of the quotes I was getting made my eyes water, especially so close to Xmas and with a baby on the way at the time. Thankfully we managed to identify the problem and replace the knackered part at a fraction of the cost.

We had a back boiler changed to a combi. New flue, hole in the wall bricked up etc

Under £3k . A like for like would be cheaper.

It depends on what your replacing whether it’s a straight combi swap or a conversion to a combi or a heat only feeding an open vented or unvented system
whether the original boiler was correctly fitted and whether any of the pipes need upgrading
you really need to get a few quotes from reputable tradesman who know what they are doing.

Just been quoted £2275 for a new one.
What was it for ? Make , model etc
It's mad what they charge for not a lot of work.
Fair play to them like if they can get it
Got to look at the bigger picture
Their are huge overheads involved , accountant fees , vat , van payments , tools , running costs , certification etc etc
It’s not just the bottom line figure
Boiler itself will be under a grand but they charge a fortune for fitting.
Decent make / model is more than that
There’s been huge price increases in last couple of years

@Daffy is the best Boiler fitter on here

I'd definitely recommend him, he did my mam and dads for us and it made a refreshing change.
Turned up to quote when he said he would.
Provided the quote when he said he would.
Started the job when he said he would.
Came out straight away to fix a little niggle.
Now that may sound like nothing and is what you would expect but just wait till you start dealing with some of the shysters that are around

Baxi, 5 year warrenty, ADEY

We're moving the boiler location though so the new one is getting fitted in the next room along to where it is currently. Do you think the price seems ok?

Is it the 800 series boiler? Because they come with the adey filter and a 10 year warranty.
I'd check what your getting like.
