Any had any good / bad reports on using any of the above ?

I find specialised overpriced for the spec level you get with it. At least when it comes to the road bikes I've looked at in the past.

Bit of a gulf between road and trail unless you’re after a hybrid/ CX bike.

What sort of riding do you plan to do?

Sorry yes, I mean I hybrid bike

Whatever hybrid bike you are currently looking at will be selling on the second hand market for nearly 50% of retail.

Seriously, lots of folk splash out on a new bike, don’t use it and flog it on at a loss 12 months or so later.

A lighter bike with higher end components makes for a more pleasurable ride.

My local bike shop won't stock Specialized anymore as they're such a rip off and most people in the know have tumbled now.

Pinnacle will provide best value but the OP should be prepared to be called an Ashley lover

I'd say Planet X gives you best bang for buck ( Ultegra Carbon bikes for around £1000 also the re badged Btwin bikes are very good value for those not wanting to spend too much initially

Like Cee Jay says.

Planet X probably the best value.
B’Twin if you are first starting out and don’t want to splash too much cash.
Ribble is good to get exactly what you want on their bike builder.

If you are looking at one of the more mainstream brands then in a few weeks the 2020 models will begin to be coming out so this years will be reduced. Got about £500 knocked off my current bike a few years back when I bought it in August.
