Not sure this is the right choice for the club. If they're thinking fashion forward, this isn't the way to go. Pinstripes are done. North African patterning is in. Is there nobody at the club that could recognize this at all? It's really not hard.

Hopefully the club will look for something a little better with a third strip to make amends for this abomination.

I think he is, just not nearly as much as he claims. I don't care either way though. And Titus Bramble being dead was so hilariously off that it's hard to come back from that. It's the sort of thing I'd want to fact check thoroughly before announcing.

Also worth pointing out that he said absolutely nothing of substance about the shirt, same as every year. iirc it was meaningless platitudes like "blast from the past" and "no one has predicted it... yet", which of course could be applied to absolutely any design.

His predictions are only "absolutely spot on" if you retrospectively conjure them up in your fevered imagination after the fact. I can say "I've seen the home shirt, and it's going to divide opinion. Especially the neck" - meaningless, unless viewed with the credulity of a child in a Santa's grotto.

It's all pretty interesting from a cod-psychology point of view.

Not really fussed about away strips, but that does have the look of a Mag away top, what with the black & white trim and even the light blue.

We should've stuck with bright yellow. If not i hope the players version have a florescent hint in the blue.
As an ex-sportsman blah blah blah it does make a difference being able to pick out team mates quickly, especially in your peripheral vision.
Think of games this season when our players were shining like lights, man utd etc.

I definitely noticed when i played and reconfirmed it a few years ago when sunderland played tottenham, it looked like they had more players on the pitch.
If i remember correctly man utd changed their silver grey strip at half time once at the Dell because they couldn't pick each other out. I think they lost 6-0.

Anyway, after that waffle i'll say Good Morning Rocky and go to familiarise myself with today's Colback threads.
For the same reason it's more easy for the opposition to man mark or leave the attacker in an offside position.
