Never a penalty

I am reading the rule. You are reading the interpretation of a failed referee. A man who said he never gave decisions for pushing and pulling in the box despite the rules because it was too difficult to make a decision.

He knows the rules of the game  It is the exact interpretation that I knew was the case anyway.
Everytime you kick off at referee decisions you never pick one that anyone without a Sunderland connection would agree with. You are wrong - expect Moyes and a handful of Sunderland fans to agree with you.

Let’s try to understand the handball rule in football. The FIFA rule book (Laws of the Game 2014/2015) defines it as:

“Handling the ball involves a deliberate act of a player making contact with the ball with his hand or arm. The referee must take the following into consideration:

the movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand)

• the distance between the opponent and the ball (unexpected ball)

• the position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an infringement

• touching the ball with an object held in the hand (clothing, shinguard, etc.) counts as an infringement

• hitting the ball with a thrown object (boot, shinguard, etc.) counts as an infringement”

Apologies please

No different to a player mistiming a tackle and getting the player but not the ball.

The penalty is the best example you'll get to explain the handball rule. He might have no attention of handling the ball but his hands were in an unnatural position. He didn't have to raise his hands and his didn't have to be in that position. The ball might have got his head of his hands weren't there. His hands stop the flight of the ball.

As poor as the team was today, this changed the game. For me it could have easily not been given. two different angles, one the ball hit Denayers head the other hit the back of his arm. Even though his arms were up, it was clearly an accidental hand ball and could have easily been not given. A lot of the disissions went against us today and no luck. We go again
