If a outfield player is shielding a ball can u go thru them to win the ball?

The player wasn't shielding the ball. The ball was in open play and the Keeper got there first. Contact was made after.

same as saying a defender won a ball first from behind but followed through and took the striker out.

neauer came from behind and through a player to get the ball.

Surely you're talking about someone making a tackle though? Neuer won the ball in open play. The coming together came from the momentum of both players but as Neuer won the ball, it's not a foul imo.

There is a possible argument for dangerous play, but I don't see how a goalkeeper can jump to punch the ball without his knees being up in the air. Unless we're going to say that every time a goalkeeper jumps to punch, it's dangerous play?

The point is a outfield player gets red for winning the ball with studs up but a keeper can win it legally with his knee in someones face

So do you think that a keeper shouldn't be able to jump for the ball without it being dangerous or do you think a keeper should jump but hide his knees somewhere?

No i think they should jump when it doesnt result in killing people along the way, he didnt have a right to go for that legally

You're not really getting it are ya
Your argument its the other players fault for not getting out of the way of the foul

So they can't jump when an attacker is anywhere near them? Neuer got the ball first so he didn't barge through him and surely any ball into the box from a set piece is too dangerous to go for as well?

What does this even mean? What law of the game does it refer to?

Surely every player has a right to go for any ball.
