Netflix being used by strangers

maybe it was 4. I know I have 4 now anyway as we had one day when every mna and his dog was trying to watch something

at the time I had it set at 2...
I have 4, a fair few people have my account details (extended family mainly)

Happy enough to let them get on with it, made it clear that the day I can't access something the password will be changed and they'll need their own account.

my daughter logs it in around friends all the time. as long as one license is open for me to watch something I don't give a toss

Just found out that there are numerous people using our Netflix account without our knowledge.. Mrs G has been on to Netflix and done a bit digging around and it's been watched in

Derby
Warrington
Manchester
Southwark
Finchley
Morecambe and a few more.

We only got a maximum of 3 devices registered.. Just beware people as if they can access the account they can see account details etc..

Not sure if this been brought up before but thought I'd share anyway ..
You've been hacked. The culprits have your logon details and are giving them away to random people on the internet.

Change your password, and find out where you've been hacked. If you use it on a PC then virus check it.

Oh dear, those hacks seem to happen more and more. I got an email a while ago saying my LinkedIn password was on the darkweb and to remove that password from any accounts I have. I guess you have to be aware of these things these days. Wankers.

People use LinkedIn ? :eek::eek::eek:

Well there's bank details linked to the account for a start.. Phone number, e mail address, facility to change passwords etc on the account details page so privacy is an issue, if they clever enough to get in to the account they could possibly empty my bank account, and I'm paying for it... Apart from that nowt mate

Why would you have bank details on your Netflix account ?

Isn't it just a credit card that's debited monthly ?

No I do t use credit cards it's linked to a current account card..

I wouldn't go shagging the mrs in front of any laptop / ipad etc :D

Why you should cover up your laptop's webcam

There is seriously not much chance of that mate..:lol:

Watch out for Spotify anarl. There were some robbing gets on my family account. I only found out when Little Miss Davey C couldn't get on.
I had some bloke putting Spanish folk music onto my account a while back. I kept deleting them, then the next day they were back on. Changed my password and it stopped.

You seen anything else to suggest other people are using it, such as programmes you've not watched showing up as watched?

Because if not, it could just be something to do with how your ISP works, presumably whether they use any proxies etc. 'Location' finding things often think I'm anywhere from Manchester to Scotland when I'm in Sunderland.

I got one of those emails a while ago quoting an old password and saying they had videos of me watching porn. A few days later I got an email from Netflix saying I'd logged on in Russia (I hadn't). Turns out Netflix was the only site I was still using my old password on and I suspect the two incidents are linked.

I'm going to chnage my passwords more regularly now.
