Neil Young

Saw him in Hyde Park last time he was over, backed by Lukas Nelson (Willie's son) and his band. Bob Dylan topping the bill. Young was awesome, even if he was a quarter of a mile away.

First time I saw him was in Finsbury Park, and he had Booker T and the MGs as the backing band. Fantastic gig, and they did Dock of the Bay as an encore as the sun was setting. Was class listening knowing it was the band who'd played on the original recording and one of them who'd co-written it.

Other time was at the Metro Arena, and although Neil and the band were fine, Christ that's a soulless place.
Though I love the mad Crazy Horse workouts, On The Beach is my favourite album of his to listen to as an album. Melancholy and haunted.
