When was this? What a stupid post. Had a good game.
Try tonight sitting in the centre of the park closing down playing simple balls everything we failed to do last seasonWhen was this?
He is a holding midfielder. He's tenacious and he can tackle, has energy and is defensive. We bought him after he tightened up the goals against playing for Lorient. He showed that in the few games he played the role last season, the major one being Liverpool IIRC and a few games after he came back from AFCON. He was hung out to dry too often last year by Moyes playing him in an advanced role almost in an attacking sense seemingly because he's quick and has energy so he was expected to put pressure on the opposition, but rarely did anyone close down next to him. It made his role a bit pointless and showed up his lack of ability on the ball on occasions, but again why would you buy a defensive midfielder, then expect him to offer attacking quality?
