Only if we stop in this league, if we get relegated we will be falling over ourselves to give him away.

I firmly believe we will survive, but if we do go down, you are dead right unless a "Dr Xia" character takes over from ES.

So what does a 13 million player look like on his debut in a totally foreign environment against a top 4 team on their patch ?

I confidently predict he will grow in stature and that after two full seasons we will be fending off big offers for him.

I liked the way he wanted the ball, he was energetic and got round the pitch, likes a tackle, and used the ball well.
He will grow in stature the more he gets used to his new environment.
I wasn't slagging the lad, but a £13 million midfielder is someone who has goals in them and/or can dictate the play.

Thought he played well yesterday. As the game went on i watched him more so than other players. Was impressed by his engine and seemed to win the majority of his 50/50 tackles. Seemed tidy in possession and supplied watmore with his chance in the second half with a decent through ball. That pass alone was more than anything else we offered yesterday. Very unlucky to be booked as he clearly won the ball. As the rest of the midfield tired i think thats when his levels dropped as he had more ground to cover. Cattermole and kirchhoff both missed games with injury and it was clear as the game went on. He always seemed willing to press higher up the pitch which is something we just dont do enough.

With a fully match fit midfield i feel he will stand out even more and prove to be a very good signing for us.

He does a lot of running, but sometimes looks like a headless chicken. He never hid though. Obviously way better than Rodwell but not sure what that tells us.

Still unsure whether it was the best use of our very limited transfer budget. None of Moyes signings have improved what we had last season. For me we are worse off. We could have kept Gomez for what McNair offers us tbh.

did ok, doesn't look like a £13 million player but he's neat and tidy and gets around the park.
I think people need to get over his fee especially when perceptions of value are so dated. Jonathan Kodjia looks like a £15m player in this market, Wijnaldum £25m. £13m is the new £7m - a Craig Gardner or Lee Cattermole sort of fee.

Besides, most of the £13m paid for Ndong will be an investment in his potential. Whether we're in a position to afford such luxuries is a different matter.

Thought he done OK yesterday but the error cost us so can see why he's getting stick. He won almost everything in the air, made a couple of crucial tackles (specifically one crunching one winning the ball and leaving their player in a heap) and made a few very good blocks, again with one excellent full length one. His passing (lumping) is poor. Not sure this is just him or what he has been told to do

Hard to judge imo because we were so deep and under relentless pressure since the kick off. He always seems to have a great moment followed by a poor one or vice versa. Needs some understanding with Kone and only a run of games will get that.
I sort of agree with this but and it's a big but, he has got to quickly cut out his 2 or 3 major errors a game because we can't afford to keep on losing points over them. His passing has looked poor but we didn't want the ball in this match, we were set up to play without it so just kept giving them it back.

Some strange views of him and our team it seems.

Anyone who thinks he's no different to what we've got must watch games with their eyes shut.

I would guess that he was a long way clear of the rest of the team today for distance covered and it wasnt at a slow pace either. Problem is, as usual, he's running round trying to close down on his own. He needed way more from the other more advanced players to try and win back possession but Defoe and Janusaj simply couldn't be arsed it seemed and Pienaar was way off the pace.

From what I have seen so far, him and M'Vila in front of Kirchoff would be a good. Shame we've not got "our French midfielder" though (twatting Russians)

Nah Catttermole is the most important player, like it or not, he stood out a mile in the team yesterday

The only one in the team who was talking, keeping everybody switched on etc, Defoe did a bit, but you can't have a premier league side with only 2 leaders

Kirchoff needs to make himself known a bit more
