Nope you’re right, some just seem oblivious to it all, like it’s going to be like it was a few months agoPeople don’t realise how bad it’s going to be when furloughing ends

Worrying times for all those except the most comfortableI was asking me dads neighbour if he was still at work as it was an on and off thing, I was discussing how it will take months and months just to get back to some sort of normality whatever that may be when the restrictions are ended.
Other than that, I've not asked anyone what they think is going to happen as it's a complete mess and an unknown and no one has asked me either.
Even if they did, I'd have no idea.
Who knows I might not even have a job?

Shearings and Wallace Arnold are part of the same group, so its a big group!
I definitely need money but not in need of topping up the 20%, I’d take a labouring job just for a change of scenery And some grown up banter rather than for the money.Must be class not needing money.
Didn't have it, only ever bother with it for holidays abroad
Is it not ATOL protected? I don't really know anything about cover/insurance type stuff like, I lead a simple life hope you get sorted
Not just going to be the big coach firms in trouble unfortunately, going to be all the ones that run in little towns and city’s that do the theatre trips, holiday trips and all the school runs, school trips etc.
Even the main private run bus companies on lots of towns doing service routes will be struggling like fuck with a massive down turn in passengers and a lot running effectively Sunday services and drivers on furlough.
Sounds cold, but the fallout from the virus has every chance to be far worse that the virus itself
The govt is going to be bailing a load out, I doubt they are going to be able to save everyone unfortunately. It will be a lot worse imo.
The Goverment should’ve been at hand to bail the travel industry out. They were happy enough bailing out banks 10 years back

As well as rates relief, making banks do mortgage holidays and extending them for another 3 month as well, company grants and the massive loans they will be helping industries with too, the scope of it is pretty vastThey have paid the wages of all the staff for last 3 months..
NahNot remember when you used to share a bath with your Dad man...
Can the company not claim their usual profits from the self employed scheme? There’s at least 3 round here that aren’t small 1 man self employed type things, these are medium sized companies.
One runs the local town buses, half the drivers still furloughed and next to no customers on the buses that do run, next to no oldies using them, and zero school kids.
Another runs a shit load of the school runs to the private schools and does a lot of the school trips and does theatre weekends and the like, and a third which does a lot of crossover stuff of the previous two.
The furlough may seem fine just to cover the drivers wages in the very short term but it will be crippling the companies having buses sitting in garages yet still have a lot of the overheads.
The furlough isn’t the silver bullet a lot seem to think it is, all it is doing in a lot of cases is delaying redundancies not preventing them
The same will apply to things like theatres up and down the country, gyms, pubs, none essential shops with rafts of people in different fields
Better news for the wad tho. He's finally gonna have to take her on a proper holiday the tight knacker.
It's a shame tho really. Hopefully everyone involved can get sorted asap.
I doubt it will cover full profits. If they are only covering 2.5k in lost income a month they aren’t going to pay out for profits.... which a lot of people use as a vehicle to pay themselves through dividends to be tax effective shall we sayCan the company not claim their usual profits from the self employed scheme?
Or is that only for companies without employees?
Abta covered?Been waiting for a refund from a hotel stay I had booked in Harrogate last month. I found out this morning that the hotel was part of the National Holidays group
