Nathan Broadhead

Signing simms probably makes broadhead less likely, they won't want their 2 loan players competing for minutes.

They'd rather both played.

 What does that even mean? Based on what?
I can't be arsed looking for the quote but I think Johnson said something along the lines that sometimes issues were mental as much as physical. There were a few games last season under both Johnson and Neil where Broadhead pulled himself out of the squad last minute as he didn't feel right.

just a weird situation. I assume Everton are putting it in place in case they’re relegated, which could be a real possibility. I’d rather sign him permanently but if it’s a loan then so be it.

It’s mental it’s taken so long for someone who won’t get a sniff at premier league level and he was taken on tour but didn’t feature. It’s gonna take weeks if not months to get him fit you’d think as well.

I hope we get him in addition to another forward player.
It could be Everton are reluctant to give another contract to an injury prone player who has only excelled in League 1 and this close season has no real monetary value.
But if he comes to us and scores 15 in the championship then he would have a transfer value. With this amount of dithering and uncertainty , a loan back to us is probably the least risky plan for Everton ?

Johnson’s a bell end man talks absolute shite he’s always looking for something to blame

It is strange he’s been offered a new deal at Everton. Did he even play any of pre-season under Lampard?

Unless it isn’t Lampard offering the contracts.

I think you are right. I think Keiron Dyer suffered from this during his career. The poor lad has since documented his struggle with mental health. It's a tough environment.

It's a win win for Everton there give him a new improved contract loan him out he scores 15+ goals then sell him for big 💰

Or he gets injured and misses a lot of games, leaving him on a longer contract with nobody paying big

Bit of a risk for Everton imo considering his injuries
