Hard fought draw. Everton are very good at what they do - get it wide and deliver quality balls into the box. Cahill (not for the first time) caused us no end of bother. Overall though, I thought we stood off them far too much in the fianl third.

For us, Welbeck and Bardsley were our best players.

One last thing. Jordan Henderson needs to start to learn to tackle. Not the pinching the ball type tackle, but the full blown wipe a bloke out. There was a number of times he could have done it, but didn't.

SPOT on with everything you say. Henderson for a central midfielder doesn't do any tackling what so ever. He runs towards a player in possesstion, jigs about a bit and never tackles. Think its about time he was rested and Riveros given a run out

Riveros isn't the answer either IMHO - Meyler (when fit and back up to speed) will be a better bet for more steel in the middle

Good point imo, Everton are a very good solid outfit, last season we would have lost that game, Bardo and wellbeck moth, Ferdinand make me panic every time the ball go's near him.

Happy with a point, must get a good result at Wolves to keep pushing on.

You can't make a comment on Riveros, cos he's never played a full game or three on the bounce to give him a chance to show what he can do

Henderson is no central midfielder, not yet anyway, but Bruce cant see it, the lad is wasted through the middle.

He's made 1 tackle like that this season & picked up a yellow...England vs France early in 2nd half

I think that we missed both Bramble and Gyan. Aerially, the defence won nothing and the first goal was criminal, really. We also needed to press them further up the pitch. But, as everyone's saying, the point was a sign of progress, per se.

Re: Henderson. There are days when I think that the £20m would go down very nicely, knowing that we have Meyler waiting in the wings.
