turns 90 years old on the 15th.

I want to get him a really good bottle of Speyside single malt. Anyone recommend me one?

There are some decent ones in Aldi at the moment.

Good choice, not tried it at 12yo but sure it'll be great. You'll have to let us know what he thinks of it.

Not Speyside but get him a bottle of Laphroaig quarter cask. lusheroo

I love Laphroaig (I've got the quarter cask at home) but I'd never buy an island/Islay whisky for someone unless I'm sure they like them peaty/smoky. It's an acquired taste and it's not worth the risk. Unless your plan is that they're not keen and so give you it back!
