Maybe just the one day and t20 but when I spoke to him at collys benefit game, he was keen to say he didn't want to leave Durham. I happen to believe him and the club could do with characters like Phil around the club in some capacity given some have left the club basically not giving a toss about Durham in my opinion. Whatever he decides to do I wish him well.

Good chance he was winding you up by all accounts. Seems he's a MLF, then again he may have swapped then seen sense again .....

Though I thought the wording on his goodbye indicated a change in career, ie doing coaching or something. I suppose he could go for a limited contract with Durham plus something else.

And maybe Poynter could be unavailable because of Irish commitments at time so they need an extra wicketkeeping option.
 
Get him up here in the NEPL and take it from there. Could still do a job in all formats for DCCC if things go well and if he's still got the desire.
