If you're not that arsed about football to start with, come from a mixed family in the disputed territories (Washington) and Sunderland are as poor as they have been over the last 30 years then you can kind of understand people jumping ship.

"We are awaiting confirmation of our English Professional, we have an agreement in place but final signature has not been received yet. He is an experienced County Cricketer with experience of international cricket in the one day format."
