Must play Altidore at Old Trafford

Well, the OP calls him a donkey and on the first page there is a picture of a donkey pulling a cart. That inference doesn't come with Fletcher or Wickham or Ji.
Oh I see! Here's a thought; Fletch & Wickham are footballers (that's soccer to our colonial friends) whilst Choke Slam Jozy is a gridiron running back-thingie, who has somehow found himself at a Premiership football (soccer) club. Hope this helps. :)

When is the last time you called Fletcher a donkey?

'Donkey' is usually a term attributed to big, lumbering players with little technical ability. Big, slow, hoof-ball centre backs often get called a donkey. As do cumbersome centre forwards like Michael Ricketts, Kevin Davies and unfortunately for us, Altidore. Fletcher, whilst being in horrific form, has proven he has the technical ability required to play in the Premier League. Altidore on the other hand hasn't. His touch is rotten, his movement is poor and more often than not, the ball bounces off him and straight to the opposition and he usually ends up on the floor.

I desperately want him to come good and prove us all wrong, but considering the majority of his performances so far, it is accurate to suggest that due to his limited technical ability, he is a donkey.

Err, it does. And Danny Graham, Adam Johnson (not at the minute like), Seb Larsson, Craig Gardner if fact just about every player gets (largely) unwarranted abuse on here.

Exactly.

Shoe on other foot, I believe Senderos got the donkey monniker draped all over him with the Jozy step-overs and hack incident...

donkey, burrow or mule?

what are the differences?... isn't one missing his nuggets a la a gelding??

Now we're onto substance! A donkey is a donkey. Burro is just the Mexican Spanish term for donkey, although it is often used to refer to the specific breed of donkey found primarily in Mexico and other Spanish-speaking parts of the Americas. A mule is the result of a cross-breeding between a horse and a donkey. Mules are anatomically complete (nuggets and all) but are sterile.

You think Altidore is a good player, do you.

Do you wear dark glasses and carry a white stick around with you?
Who has said he is good? People just for agree with constant slating and abuse on twitter etc.

Why assume people rate him?

He hasn't done what we hoped by any stretch of the imagination.

But the personal abuse is getting a bit much. Suspect it's a few of the America 'only Jozy' posters who have poured fuel on the fire.

Yanks coming on and throwing the racism card about again.

Thought the thread was a wind up when I saw the title. Glad to see it's not.
