Multiple takeover talks breaking down

Fulwell 73 never got as far as putting in a offer. They withdrew on the grounds of being "too busy". Bain's interview today suggests there's been more than one bunch of timewasters approaching them.

He also did say - "when they see what's under the bonnet" which is why I mentioned to you "due diligence to varying degrees" being noteworthy.

People are shocked that groups don't want to buy a football club that is paying their most expensive player 70,000 pounds a week but that player doesn't actually play any football.

They also have multiple players that are loaned out yet are still costing the club 20-30,000 pounds a week.

Added on top to the fact the club can't get rid of those players as no one is willing to match the wages and the club has a ticking time bomb.of income that is about to run out completely when the parachute payments stop and a large external debt which all add up to not being able to pay the bills.

Colour me f***ing gobsmacked.

I'd love to invest in such a business.
The same club where a drunk player thinks it's ok to turn up for work absolutely rat arsed whilst another thought it ok to try to get inside the pants of a 15 year old supporter. And they're the ones we know about.....

The deal short is putting on the table is not a good one at the end of the day. A football club is a big risk as it is. We are stuck until he decides to cut his losses.
His ego has been hurt quite frankly he does not care if Sunderland rots in the lower leagues unless he gets his number back on Sunderland...

This kind of talk is ridiculous.

This Pearson thing was more than likely him trying to get something for really cheap and not being able to either get backers or not get it for dirt cheap. We don't know how close any of them were to having serious backers or even if they did, what their valuations were or what, non-financial checks Short wants in terms of fit and proper persons.

It's worth what it's worth, Short says he wants shot and is writing off the debt owed to him.

So a few chancers came snffing around. Chancers who we don't know anything at all about other than one potential groups of fans who may have been interested, one fronted by a bloke with a sketchy at best reputation in football and another who we don't know anything about if they even existed.

Your analogy, does not make any sense at all, mate. His Ego might ve hurting, but just keeping us afloat in the foreseeable future, will cost him big time. The cretins who have signed all of the players on fairytale contracts, should be made accountable for this absolute shambles, that we find ourselves in:evil:

The Eastleigh chairman admitted that he likes entering into due diligence as he’s nosy and likes seeing how clubs are run. There’ll have been others and then there’s the Short factor and the claim if moved goalposts.

Same as getting in touch with an estate agent and nosing around flash houses when you haven't got a pot to piss in....
