Mucky Gray... figures are astronomical

I'm selling this bag a crisps. Price is £100. I'm trying my best to sell it, all someone has to do is match my asking price. Nobody has bought it but that's not my fault. It's nothing to do with money.

There’s 25 crisps in there. That’s only £4 per person if you can get the people together to buy one crisp each.

Burnley aren’t good in the grand scale of football. They are as shite and irrelevant as we are under Donald and will achieve just as much. Finishing mid table in the Prem isn’t an achievement, they are just making up the numbers. Their fans celebrate less wins than we do and they have absolutely nothing to show for what you obviously deem a good performance.

Football is a competition and is about winning things. Burnley aren’t doing that and have zero intention of doing so. They are just waiting to be relegated like Sheff Wed, Stoke, Bolton, the mags under Ashley, bournemouth, Watford or Us
Sorry mate your really starting to sound like a mag, if football is about winning things we may as well f***ing give up now, I'd take mid table premier league with the chance of a cup run every year, because I've been going to SAFC for 32 years and in that whole time that was the best we really did.

Burnley are doing absolutely shite just floating about achieving nothing. Burnley’s trophy cabinet will be added too as much as Southend’s in the next decade. Unless they get relegated and win the second division, which in itself is just a bronze medal, or as Keane said, nothing to be proud of.
In which case you’re presumably happy where we are and you wouldn’t want to swap with Burnley at all then? Or Wycombe for that matter?

that isn’t what gray was hinting at.
suggested the likes af the AOL and even the stadium were not Included.
that would make the price astronomical.

35 million is nothing at all when you see the price of one player.
the season losses plus the extras like the AOL would make any sale impossible.
suppose no one knows as Donald can’t be trusted with the truth.

Really?! So Gray is suggesting Donald wants 37 million and wants to keep hold of the stadium and AOL?

Things turned well south with the cancellation of season tickets, I one of them. I think,as you say the magnitude of the hole he has dug, has finally hit home this past few weeks culminating in his latest accusations about his daughter and his blubbering to all and sundry last week..
Thing is we haven't really organised yet. Once we do and protest he'll cave imo. This is merley the end of the beginning

In simple terms how much did Donald actually pay for the club from his own funds. What was the actual contracted purchase price that he paid .??

Aye I’ve talked myself into a hole and I can’t be arsed to argue my way out of it. My basic points are Burnley are making up the numbers, we shouldn’t aspire to only finish 10th, and football is about winning trophy’s. Probably come across as a bit of a knob shitting on a small club over achieving because I’ve had a few pints. Hopefully one day SAFC will be back competing again.

"Local consortium" may be aware that resigning has been seen for what it is ... panic, a car crash meeting won't help falling revenue if anything I think some who were renewing might think twice.
SD is pretty constant at doing the wrong thing, question is at what point does the penny drop and he realises he could loose money on this? As an aside How local is this consortium ... it may have some local members but that doesn't mean they are based here anymore. I do wonder if somebody like fulwell73 are part of this. We have to keep the pressure on and to show more unity... it sends a message to prospective buyers and focuses minds of those that are selling

I think he wants to be the next Quinn but sorry doesn’t know any big massive investors which is what we need

Gray talking about the club
He says in that clip that the 35 million buys you 100% of the club which gets you traing ground, stadium, everything. But says needs another 35million invested doing things like wages and buying players

He couldn't do that without selling the properties to another company at an arms length price first. Which a) is somewhere well north of £100m (because the SoL is valued as an investment property) and b) couldn't be done without permission from FPP as they're part of the security for Madrox's loan.

I do get what you were meaning a bit mate, as I'd take mid table in the Premier League year after year there was always that hope in the back of your mind that one day we will be world beaters even though it won't happen we can still dream

Which if course it does, because you're actually buying the shares in the club, and those are club assets. I can cut Micky some slack here; football is what he understands, not corporate finance.

Good, glad that it can’t happen that way then.

Owning an English football club now requires you to have a Literal billion quid to spend building out infrastructure and playing staff. If you don’t have that to spare then you will never catch up let alone win. Each summer transfer window needs £100m minimum to keep improving and keeping up with the competitors. That’s the reality nowerdays. The 37m to buy SAFC wouldn’t even get you Joelinton which is utterly insane. Gray is right, the figures are mental. I just hope he understands what is needed and is capable of persuading it in.
I don’t think we need £100m to get out of league one tbh
