Ok sorry tin pot is a bit strong I should of said, fuck off and come back on here when your worthless, irrelevant embarrasingly supported football club gets some kind of history worth discussing, Boro man:lol:.

Jesus, grammar and spelling obviously not your strong point is it?

Hard to disagree with what he says.

I understand why the smoggies are up in arms, as the 50,000 quote and 'there wouldn't be empty seats at SAFC or NUFC in the championship, I'm sorry but there wouldn't' is utter horseshit.

That said it has to be true that there is much less of a buzz about a club that persistently averages gates of 15k to 20k less than us and is all round much smaller, no rip on boro either, I don't actually mind them too much as a club, and over the years have been to see them play a couple of times when SAFC weren't playing and didn't fancy the hartlepool or darlo game.

Would if fuck, they aren't part of this region in football terms, supporter base who only turn up in the PL and think they're the bees knees, shithole place, shithole fans
tbf we have a canny number of fans who work in Boro and a fair few who live there

;)

96/97 you averaged 17.482

And the original point that I was making, was that if you down and struggle I can see your crowds dropping right down to a 20k average.

Shite support in 96/97 when we didn't average 30k in a ground that held 50k (except it didn't and that's why we moved)

Shall we talk about Boro's huge support at your old ground?

Doesn't matter what ground it was in, you still averaged less than 20k.

Yes set of fickle bastards Sunderland. Why didn't our fans bust the gates down to cram 40k into a 22k stadium

Listened to a bit of 606 the other week during a long car journey. How on earth the BBC employ him is beyond me, he's like a spoilt 13 year old arguing with his mother after eating too many sweets on Xmas day. He had an argument with a snotty old dear who followed Villa, shockingly bad.

Couldn't care less what Robbie Savage thinks. Historically we are the third club, which makes it all the more sweeter when we are more successful. I don't mind being the underdog at all. Middlesbrough/Teesside gets worse stick than Robbie Savage (who has never played in the north east) giving his opinion.

I remember Peter Davenport who played for both clubs saying that Boro fans were much better than Sunderland fans, not for one second did I take his word as gospel and I definitely won't take Robbie Savages.

Aye in your care home etc

So our average was around 17k in a rundown Roker Park, struggling and relegated in the last season there.

Wonder what Boros average was in the last few years at Ayresome Park?

Because they don't get enough to he credible as a North East club. Which is what they claim to be.
Well Hartlepool, Darlington and Gateshead do so why not Boro? Actually, what has attendance got to do with it?

He's spot on, they're a second tier club. Gave up on the club in 86 when they locked the gates with crowds of 4k.

The good people of Middlesbrough don't want a football club, they'd be more then content converting the riverside to a 10k capacity bingo hall with a line dancing extravaganza of a Thursday.
