Moyes

He's made some not-so-veiled statements that he was promised players that did not arrive when the window shut.... so not sure that is all his fault.

He did sign off on Mcnair/Love and 8 mil Djiboobies for 3mil Kaberl swap, so certainly not without crosses to bear, mind.
He also signed a defensive midfielder for a record fee when we have several already. What's wrong with an attacking centre mid to support Defoe? Please don't say Januzaj...

But voiding Moyes of any criticism is wrong. It's his decisions that have resulted in us not having suitable back up for Defoe for example.

You sure about that? He was moaning in the press last week about expecting to have certain players and not getting them.

Do you think it's more likely Moyes just didn't bother to sign another striker, or that he wanted one and the owner wouldn't fund it?

Based on what I've seen and read, he wants to leverage NDong in a box2box capacity and link play forward.

NDong was certainly trying to do that somewhat at Spurs... One of the few that tried to get out of the bunker.

As said above, he spent 13 mil on a defensive mid. That wasn't a priority atleast as far as I'm concerned.

to be honest whatever sensible responses anyone will give you, youre still going to moan and complain

I'm giving sensible responses back, don't be so petty.

Hopefully he can make that happen

Before Ndong arrived Rodwell was playing every week. It also still doesn't change the fact he still expected to be able to get a striker in and wasn't given one.

It's pretty obvious you've just made your mind up and won't accept the mitigating circumstances. You're entitled to your opinion but you're demonstrating absolutely no patience or ability to look critically at the evidence in front of you.

I think it was mentioned in another post, all our recent managers, BSA included have concentrated on defence to stabilise before turning to attack. Maybe he didn't fancy the likes of Rodwell?

I will say again... 5 friggin games man! give yourself a shake

You're assuming without evidence as much as I am.

I'm just not confident in the manager, sorry if that differs to your thoughts.

We still need to score goals mate. We clearly don't score enough.

I know it's been 5 games, you constantly repeat it. I'll come back to you in another 5, and another after that and we'll see if anything's changed.

I'm using his very clear comments to the press as evidence as well as the fact every manager we've had for five years has said the same thing about not being properly backed.

You can choose to just pretend otherwise if you wish.

When it hasn't changed be sure to aim your anger at Ellis Short for not providing us with the funding for a striker, or any sort of balanced squad season after season.

He's spent close to 30 mil and hasn't brought in any attacking players bar Anichebe.

I watching the game here in Canada yesterday, and one of the commentators said Sunderland really needs a rah-rah kind of guy, and that Moyes might not be the best guy for that. I'm worried about this poor start, but last season's start was no better. Even BSA's first few games were dismal. I'd give him until Christmas.

Brings who down? Posters on a message board? Christ, sorry if I've ruined your day mate.
well, yes me! i accept your apology now dont do it again...

go and give the Daily Star a ring, they're interested in content

maybe you could write the ad for the next manager

I'd quite happily work for them if all I have to do for an article is quote tweets from fans. I'm clearly in the wrong job!

I've never known someone who has managed our club be so negative from the off. My patience is wearing really thin with this guy. Different situations but you see someone like Klopps enthusiasm for the game and then see our mopey nacker complaining every opportunity and its soul destroying. No wonder the players who looked tremendous last season under Big Sam now look pretty average. Im not buying the whole he didn't have a full transfer window stuff either, his signings have mostly been awful.
