Moyes

Pre Man U Moyes and post Man U Moyes are two completely different people. His confidence was absolutely shattered during his short stint at Old Trafford.

His body language, baffling substitutions, ineptness in the transfer window and negative match day comments are enough for me to be very worried. At the moment the only defence people on here seem to have for Moyes is "He hasn't been here long, give him a chance"

I'm optimistic that he will improve us but at the moment, the more realistic side of brain is preparing for the worst.

As soon as he got his own players in the transfer window the improvement was obvious. Moyes hasn't improved us at all with his first window. In fact he's made us worse

and what a lengthy window it was for him eh?

BSA's January window was presumably the culmination of months of work

Did I say it wasn't working? He still needs more time but would be foolish to rule it out as a possibility.

The implication was there, but as you say only time will tell.

So in the meantime why not support him or at the very least reserve judgement?

I don't get this mentality. Sticking with a manager that isn't working is suicide to our position in the league. You stick with someone who works ie BSA (shame he fucked off). If we'd stuck with half the managers we've had previously in the last 5 years we'd not be in the Prem.

So who should we get now?

The Dave Bassett-Stan Ternent dream team?

It's not a question of support. I'll always back us to the hilt but when the dust settles on another defeat, questions are rightfully asked.

Early doors have led many to question whether he's the right man but many such as myself, will ride out the storm for the time being.

No one wants him or any of the players to fail.

'You' support him but 'many' don't

Not me.

It's you that seem to want Moyes moved on.

I'm happy for him stay.

Who do you want to replace him with?
I don't think he should go yet, but I also don't think we should stick with him long term if he continually fails. It's too early to tell but the signs don't look good.

wouldn't have been my choice but he's been dealt a shit hand to be fair - what I can't get my head round is selling Kaboul and having only one fit striker

questioning whether he's the right man for the job is definitely a great way of showing support

There's not really a correlation. I'll support the whole time, the same way I've always done with every manager or player. However, I'm unwilling to blindly follow and will question someone if they're making particular decisions. It doesn't lessen my support.

Does according to some of these! They'd follow without criticism if we sleep walked to the championship. I support the club fully but am allowed to have concerns along the way.

FFS....So fickle. It's five games into the season for god sakes. Give the bloke some time. This clubs needs to be changed. We've been surviving by the skin of our teeth for the last few years. Yes we probably didn't get the number of players we needed before the window shut, but that means he isn't signing a player for the sake of signing a player. If that means we go down this year, at least we haven't got absolute garbage on massive wages to get rid of and we can start again. Ideally, we won't get relegated, but we need to stop this manager merry-go-round. It's not getting us anywhere. Out of the five games, we probably should have beaten Middlesborough, yes, but we were minutes from getting a point against City, minutes from getting two extra points against Southampton. We aren't exactly a million miles away.
