Moyes

I think he underestimated how important Kaboul was for us when he first arrived & replacing him with an unheard of £8m player has backfired so far. He also thought that McNair & Love was a good idea when most of the fans could see it wasn't what was required. I honestly think that he didn't think we were as bad as we are and I'm sure in hindsight he would have played it different.

I'm not sure how much influence he has had over bringing much of these players in,

Love and McNair are obviously his doing.

Papy and N'Dong seem a bit forced on him or desperate.

I think he's a good manager but our transfer business has been woeful and has left us desperate. Imagine Defoe got injured ffs.
Agreed, I actually think Ndong might have been Sams player. He mentioned in his press conference that he'd Solent to Sam & that he'd had some plans in place.

To be honest I have never been less impressed with a manager over the last 10 years than I have with Moyes so far.

His signings have been bizarre. What is his actual game plan? In the 5 games so far, we don't seem to have a plan. At least under Allardyce we could see how we were setting our side out and how we were going about things. What was Moyes' thoughts with how he set us up against Tottenham? We were never going to come out with anything better than a 1-0 loss out of that game with how he set us up. Extremely lucky to only lose by a goal.

I honestly think that Man Utd especially and Real Sociedad has mentally effected Moyes. Was Everton just a one off? He's looked completely out his depth since leaving Everton. I'll not say I want him out just yet but I think he needs to change things round soon otherwise this time next month, he will have lost a lot of fans.

10 games is the benchmark, i dont see what his plan is but well see?

His plan seems to be play as many defensive players as possible and try not to get hammered.

Well we did that today and at Man City, but you can't play like that all season and when we come to games we are supposed/need to win I don't see how he is going to do it given the squad he has purchased?

Next 3 games are crucial. If he plays the same way then I can't see how we can expect to stay up.

It would also help if he stopped telling everyone we're shit and going down and covering his back all the time.

I have faith in Moyes: I usually agree with his post match assessments; he didn't take any shit from Kone; he benched the underperforming Khazri, and he was wise enough to replace Rodwell in the interests of the team when more options became available, despite likely hitting Rodders' confidence.

KTF

The players we've signed this summer are a joke. We're not even a shit team. We're a bunch of shit individuals.

we were worse under dick

Bad start, I would have been much happier had BSA still been here even if we still had a bad window.

I cant believe we are having this discussion again, but it hasnt been a great start.

I thought (and still do think) he was the best available option and his record at Everton shows what he can do. However, the hard times he had at Man U and in Spain must have taken their toll. Has he been backed significantly? Has he managed to get the players he wanted?

We cant keep chopping and changing managers at the first sign of trouble. If Short has given him a long term deal and has been after him as long as he says he has, then he needs to be given time and importantly, the backing, to turn things around.

We've had a difficult start fixture wise. Not many sides get more than 1 point away at Southampton, City and Spurs. The next two home games could be a huge turn around.

His recruitment has been woeful from what we've seen so far. Picking up players who don't get a game at Man Utd isn't going to cut it. This isn't the Man Utd treble winning team either, it's the worst Man utd in my lifetime

I could never fathom why DM was so highly rated by media & pundits alike. At everton his tactics were to sling it in from anywhere to the cf. Those tactics dont cut it these days

Especially if your single forward is 5ft7.
When we get desperate later in the year is Moyes going to rediscover 4-4-2 with mobile wall Anichebe ?

For me you could always see what he was trying to create/build. Moyes's decisions/tactics come across as scattergun and odd. Just my opinion of course.
Hindsight is a great thing isn't it?

I want the lads to win every week, but I'm prepared to support the manager and the team when the going gets tough. When I say support, I mean not spout destructive negativity for the sake of it.

You can only really test the players, systems and tactics in real games... How many have there been? I'm not writing off the season after a handful of games.
